Heya,

A young boy contacted me via Twitter (and later Facebook), but everything was pretty confusing at first. After we talked for about 30 mins, I have understand that someone stole some BTC from him (probably via phishing, will specify the amount if anyone trusted engage in this). I hadn't much time lately, but this morning (its 11:43 am here now) I started to dig and I believe that I found connections between addresses funded with 100s of BTC, which often "communicated" with each other. Still not 99% sure, but I believe that they don't belong to exchanges or pools and that is why I think I'm on to something, which may lead to scams worth a lot of money. I am very determined to help the boy and if someone wants to engage and help as well, please find me on freenode IRC (same nickname). I have already connected 2 (allegedly) real names connected to these scams, but I need to dig for some more details in order to contact them. Otherwise, FBI will be involved in the case.

So, do you want a congratulations or something? As you've mentioned nothing helpful to the wider bitcoin community in this thread. You didn't even mention the amount this "young boy" lost in the scam.

No.

As you've mentioned nothing helpful to the wider bitcoin community in this thread.

Maybe I have my reasons? My goal is not to be helpful to the "wider bitcoin community", but to reach to certain members I can trust. Anyway, I've managed to find enough proofs (though there are a lot more connections to be made).

You didn't even mention the amount this "young boy" lost in the scam.

That won't hurt that much. We're talking about 1+ BTC.

Thank you for your comment!

Cheers,
Spartak

The least you can do is be kind to him ?I don't remember him asking for it in his post.

Wouldn't take a minute to hit him up on his IRC and discuss the matter in detail if at all you are interested. What would he achieve by posting the information here apart from shit posts like
"So sorry for his loss"
"Use escrow"

...

Guys of his kind (judging by the manner he answered to my call for help) are never happy, so I'm fine with that. I am taking actions in order to be 'helpful to the wider bitcoin community', while people like him only talk.

If you wanted to be useful, then you would follow the proper scam reporting format, but that actually requires posting some evidence that any of this actually happened. The point is, I am not interested, because there is nothing slightly helpful about what has been posted so far.

Blockchain transactions and where it happened might be a start. Instead of reporting it to the police, you have injected yourself as some sort of private investigator who will probably do more damage. I did notice you are part of the "FAIL" community, so you got something right.

Maybe you should do some background check on me, before posting such bs here. A IRS CI agent already contacted me on the matter, so I believe I did some things right, no? And I was always fucking useful as I revealed and warned about scams and failures worth over $200 million!

I must say that my fellow scam buster Gleb Gamow provided me with some more solid proofs and now I have all the information I need in order to contact the scammer and ask him to return the stolen funds, or else...

Thanks, Bruno! Always a pleasure. I can't imagine what might happen when you, me and cryptodevil unite in a team. Smiley
