Legendary can come anytime after 9?? it could be at 1000 ans still be a hero.

Legendaries can be hit in a broad window of activity ranging from 775 to 1030.
It is random and you can't do anything to influence when your account will hit the legendary ranks (or can you? ).

I would think it also depends on when you hit legendary by the post quality as well is put into consideration for the rank up to that level.

No, getting legendary rank doesn't depends on post quality. Forum software can't check does member have poor or good posts quality. And forum staff can't promote any forum members to legenderary rank.

Well I still have a long, long way to go.  Was it decided as to whether a higher rank or ranks will be added?  I don't recall that Theymos chimed in on the issue, though I know it was batted around.  It would certainly be good, because the legendary ranks aren't exactly going to shrink.  Perhaps a whole new renaming is in order?

No, their activity could be higher but is limited by the number of posts. It will increase with every post until the limit is hit. Because the user often posts less than 14 posts in 14 days, this limit was actually above legendary max (1030) for quite some time.

It is randomly generated on your join date, some kind of algorithm or random process decided by theymos. I think it's between 775 & 1030 activity that every member is guaranteed to become a Legendary Member.

Oh, a lot of people do.  Not just on this forum, but pretty much on all of them.  Legendary status is kind of starting to lose its meaning around here because there are so many of them, but it still means you're an OG on bitcointalk.  Same thing for the hack forums and all the other boards.  The system on this board is weird, unlike so many other boards I've been to.
