520 confirms for PPCoin?

I've been doing some PPC mining over at coinotron and I noticed that it requires 520 confirms to get paid on RBPPS.  Being new to PPC I didn't know how long that would take but it seems to take a long time vs. BTC.

Few questions:
- How do confirms happen for PPC?
- Is there a target amount of time that this should happen?
