2016 V-Series BTCC Titanium 1BTC Coin | REDEEMED

I purchased this coin last week from owlcatz, and it was mentioned that none of these redeemed (empty) coins have been sold or auctioned yet. That got me curious, so I've decided to auction this redeemed (empty) 2016 V-Series BTCC Titanium 1BTC coin at a low starting reserve of only .01 BTC.

The coin comes inside its original Air-Tite™ protective capsule, which is stored inside its original black, velvet-lined display case. Original booklet with matching public address is also included. (Original holographic security sticker has been peeled off, then carefully replaced.) White cotton fuzz inside the Air-Tite™ capsule is a free bonus! Wink

NOTE: There is a small imperfection on the coin face, below the "M" in "BTCC MINT" (front, top). The coin arrived this way from the BTCC store. Please see photos.

The Rules
Start Time: Immediately
End Time: December 18, 2016 @ 10PM EST (See countdown timer above.)
Grace Period / No-Sniping Rule: There will be a 10 minute grace period to avoid sniping. Immediately prior to the official end time, each bid will extend the end time by 10 minutes. After 10PM EST, the auction will end when 10 minutes pass without a new / higher bid.

Starting Bid: 0.01 BTC
Bid Increments: 0.01 BTC

The winning bid should be sent to the following address: 1GxJbTKrH2MtzTUZzE8zoBaiSbwwGa6DMp.

USA shipping is an additional 0.01 BTC and international shipping is an additional 0.02 BTC.

Please feel free to ask questions.

Good luck, everyone!

Regards,
Chris

It's actually surprising there is no honeycomb effect after peeling, if someone was extremely careful - might it be possible to grab the key and re-apply the hologram? BTCC offer some high denomination coins and if they use the same set up it could be exploited, but maybe I missed something..

There is clearly a honeycomb effect visible, however, you have to get it at the right angle, and look very closely - I agree, the pics do look like there is no effect, but after putting on my glasses and using more light, I could clearly see it. Thanks.

Yes, it's very difficult to catch the honeycomb effect in a photo. Here's a better photo...

PS -- A little more than 12 HOURS left in the auction! Wink

Nah. Didn't see this as I've been travelling a little lately. Out of curiosity, why was this coin redeemed? Surely most collectibles retain more of their value if sold unpeeled? Considering that there haven't been other auctions for a redeemed BTCC coin before, this one went for a pretty good price.

I'm not sure why it was redeemed (I'm not the original owner), but I do appreciate those people who redeem pre-funded coins. It lets the rest of us know if the coins are really funded or not. And that's a big area of paranoia for me, so I'm happy to see the BTCC Titanium was swept without issue.  Smiley
