blockchain is very secure, but only if you enable all of the security features.


you must enable the email to verify, then make sure you have a secure 2fa enabled gmail account.
then enable the 2nd password.. this must be different then your site password, also make sure your gmail password is also different..


then when you log in, you will get 3 security checks..

one blockchain will send you an email with a link. two you must sign into gmail with 2fa, and three you need the 2nd password.

the only possible explanation for your bitcoin loss is you used a public computer and never de-authorized the computer or ip
or you used a pc/browser that stores login details and your friend all he/she had to do is visit the wallets site and click login and transfer the btc

Lol no, you can do other than take off your bitcoin go, this be a lesson to you that the wallet would not be so safe, you have to add some authentication in order to secure your wallet and avoid haccking

That might be due to system error or malware error in the computer. Blockchain wallet is highly secure and has got highest trust rate comparatively. Even if such thing happens too, it'll be solved in a short by the support team if a ticket is created based upon the issue reported.

Using any currency can be risky and expose your wallet to anybody. Even physical wallets can be stolen as easy as you can be hacked. There are many victims of hacks.. Just because they do not think about the possible negative sides of using different apps. For example I got my money stolen from a gambling bot, because the version I downloaded was rigged.

It is really strange since he have already transacted to this address before and also you have a point if op does have a balance on his wallet why the thief didn't transfer all the bitcoin inside his wallet or maybe someone knows his wallet previously and maybe it's just a close friend or relative.

Better to use 2fa if your using online wallet, for now you'll already know some one is using your account so be much careful.you cannot do anything about the amount already been sent but you still have time to secure your account so it will not happen again to you. Maybe some one near to you is watching and waiting for the right time to rubbed you so be careful who you trust.

Try to avoid using Online Wallets.
My experience using them is awful.
Try to use a desktop wallet, they are far more secure than Blockchain Wallet as long as you keep your PC clean from viruses and other stuff like that.

Or if you really serious about protecting your bitcoin you can buy a hardware wallet, hardware wallet has gone cheap when compared a few years ago. You should be able to afford one

if you mean blockchaininfo, that site is not secure mate, better to use a local wallet, like core armory or electrum, but this one is centralized and i don't like it, you didn't lost too much so see this as a lesson, and your back up wallet will not do anything the trasnaction is confirmed already he have your money

i think it is not such an easy task, but you must have shown some more carelessness, i think you need to be more careful about your wallet key, as it is only possible if some one have your wallet key and he can use it.

Since its an address you have previously sent money to apparently, you may have done business with this person before.

Unless someone has an automated script to send small amounts of coin from an address at certain times,
which seems like a very strange way to steal coins. You might as well just take everything at one time, to be honest.

I think blockchain has the highest security features since it also uses SMF features that also sends s verification code to the number thst you set everytime you will log in via website. Your address in every transaction will automatically change. And you can not capture an screenshiot in blockchain. Hence this feautre is the best for me

My advice for you is to switch to another wallet because apparently the guy that used it to send that 0.01 btc will come back for more ,and there is no way you can retrieve them so your best option is to send your money to another wallet like Xapo they have a system that send you a code via SMS that you have to enter whenever you need to send money.

if by "entering my wallet" you mean like 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) then there is no way a hacker could have gained access to your wallet without having access to your phone and receiving the verification (second password via SMS) token. and if he could bypass that, it wouldn't be your fault and instead blockchain.info's weak security. but I doubt that.

I think so. it is rarely to hear someone with 2 factors authentication is hacked, after all you use codes sent to your phone. I assume it is not only because your computer is not clean, but also your phone is probably not clean too. so the hacker has access to your phone.
