I have gone for business in about 45 minutes and  1BTC = $870. When I came back home and check the bitcoin prices, It dropped to $850. What just happened ? Can anyone tell me ? I have checked the cointelegraph and coindesk and still no result.
As momentum build during what seems to be a strong bull run building up, the price will rise and drop in increasing degrees. Just examine charts of btc's 2013 rise for example.
Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

You're a Hero Member, what have you been doing the entire time you've been here?

Good question! Is he trolling or did he buy account? No way, hero member didint expirience things like this before. It's not like hes here for few days or something like that....
why do people like to judge someone like that? I have just asked a question and you guy only discuss about my experience. Honestly, I want to ask because in a few day ago Bitcoin is so stable and it only really makes me confused why in less than 45' Bitcoin price drop 20$.
We ain't liftin' waits at Planet Fitness in the judgement free zone up in here, welcome to da forum!  Wasn't you around in 2013-14 when shits blowed up?  $20 is nuffin, but lookie whey we at since you done posted this.  We at dang $900!!  Crazy swings like a child's playground in the city.

Big ups, big downs.
Large swings right now. Market is still pretty volatile and no one is sure where the price will land.
Lots of people buying and selling large orders. Just a few percent profit is a ton of cash if you have enough to invest.
Exactly, its too volatile right now. This morning(my time) BTC was at 860ish I check it about an hour later and boom its 905 and the market cap has reached ATH. I mean its sitting at $900-905 since 5 hour, with the amount of volatility right now i would consider this stability pretty good, but I dont not expect the price to stay this it could just crash and drop back to 750s or who knows maybe cross $1000 even before Christmas.

Same as I can't explain and can't guess why just for one night bitcoin from 861$ grown to 906$. I thought that that factor that some bitcoins was stolen by hacking again will make the price for bitcoin to fall, but it didn't happen.

This forum is old enough to consider rising the activity levels required to achieve higher ranks. Otherwise, we will be observing more of such an inflationary effect, meaning more people who haven't seen any significant crash (like 2013-14) becoming hero members.

When Bitcoin cost $870 then $20 move is way less then when Bitcoin cost $300 so get used of $20 changes every hour now.
When Bitcoin will be $10000 then $100 moves will be tiny moves.

I guess if the price is changing for $30 or so during the day it's totally fine. These are just fluctuations, you know. Just some accidental stuff, right? Somebody sold his/her bitcoins and nobody bought them yet or something similar. This is a 2-3% change. I guess even fiat changes the price in these borders from time to time.

the reason why bitcoin price has been drop within an hour its because when bitcoin suddenly reach that amount there's a lot of users who cashout their bitcoin so they can use it on their needs. so expect that if bitcoin reach $1000 barrier there's a lot of more user that will cashout their bitcoin so the price of bitcoin could be probably drop atleast $500 per bitcoin. so if i where you when bitcoin reach the $1000 barrier you should cashit out to or else you will lose your bitcoin.

Are you really believe that if bitcoin climbs to $1000 so many people will sell their coins for fiat and the price will drop in at least (as you wrote above) $500? I could say this is a crash. I understand here is the "speculation" subforum but this prediction without proofs is something like science fiction movie. So you could sell your coins now with a big profit. Could you?

I think your charts are off.
It has only risen and not fallen in the last 48 hours this much. Maybe by $12 but not $20.
That is a major loss to someone who is holding over 2 bitcoin.

Yes, in terms of % move $20 is becoming less and less as the price increases. It is really hard to understand that a hero member is asking such questions.

Indeed, anyone that is panicking for 20, even 50 dollar drops is a complete newbie. We are back on track and the 12 hour graph is looking sexy. We are no doubt going towards a new ATH. We are looking at 1000 hours away from now, at any time it can kick in and we may start seeing a big long ass green candle. Of course I would like controlled growth but this is bitcoin, this is extreme disruption and the price is also wild.
