I don't think that's the case. My understanding is that if you request the ERC20 tokens they'll ask you for an ETH address to send them to. If you say no, they'll hold onto them until the mainnet launches.

Basicaly once you have ERC20 tokens in your posses you are free to do what you want with them (i.e sell, trade etc).
Then when mainnet will launch the swap will be 1:1 ratio.

Research is being done at present to extend the range and increase the data rate of QKD systems, and to integrate these systems with existing information security solutions. An ERC20 token will be issued today or tomorrow. It will be converted into the "real" token when mainnet goes live in august.

The ERC20 token will be tradeable so exchanges could pick it up.

My guess is liqui will have it first.
