It's not cheap when its 12x the ICO price. It will come down further, around 4-5x ICO price. 40 cents IMHO. It's a good opportunity for new traders to watch and learn market manipulation.

It's not cheap when its 12x the ICO price. It will come down further, around 4-5x ICO price. 40 cents IMHO. It's a good opportunity for new traders to watch and learn market manipulation.

You never know. Sometimes whales are dumping, sometimes not. And if devs release some good news next few days/weeks you ll be happy about 12x!

This project can still do very well in a few months, just poor distribution - which is currently being solved right now with this lower price, I hope it goes a lot lower though. No idea where the dumping is going to end, probably around 25k with the buy support

I'll be holding long term now, have made a nice profit and will keep QRL as I see it going very big with time.

I think that's referring to launching the ethereum erc20 contract for QRL tokens, which will be converted to real QRL once the QRL mainnet goes live. By "testnet" and "mainnet", I think they mean ethereum. I.e. they tested it out on the ethereum testnet before launching the contract on the mainnet. QRL mainnet is not going live until September.

They decided not to snapshot the Bitcoin blockchain for initial distribution. Both BTC and ETH were accepted for the initial crowdsale.

I saw someone mention on the slack that about 600-650 people participated in total, but I haven't confirmed that. Based on how many people are in the slack, I'd say distribution is far greater by now.

I missed the initial crowdsale. But unlike altcoiner555 I chose not to whine about it and instead bought in after doing due diligence. I could have timed it better though, given the current price! But I'm holding, because I think it's going up in a big way long term.

QRL is now dumped and the price variation is very quick, It is hard now to do trade on this token. So many day traders are playing on this token, I hope that the devs do provocative action to stop this pump/dump situation, It really destroying QRL value.

I think this high price differences are normal for a new released coin.

Look at Monero for example:

Price on June 21 2014: 5,34$

Price on December 4 2014: 0,378$

There are some other coins too that had such price differences.

Not even the shady ICO distribution to whales prevents people from making dumb moves like buying tokens for 25x ICO price shortly after release. Just looking at volume and throwing money around at shitty ICO projects. Is this project technologically ANYWHERE to deserve such attention/hype? No, it is not (yet). But still you throw money around in hopes of making a quick buck. You fucking deserve your losses for your greed and it makes me feel a little better actually, because maybe some people learn from it and do smarter investments in profounder projects that have a chance of actually being useful and benefiting the cryptoworld. I hope it goes down even further.

There's no need to hope, it's actually going down rather sharply. As I have been telling new traders, instead of jumping on a spaceship, wait for the market to stabilize. 4-5x ICO  price is okay but if you're buying at 25x ICO price just after the release, then something is very very wrong. Wait for mainnet to get launches. After that we can get an idea if this project can be successful or not.
