The Fessler Foundation

The Fessler Foundation funds research in the development of new technology and treatments for those affected by spinal cord injuries.

Scott Fessler is a good friend of mine. In 2006, he was involved in a motorcycle accident resulting in a C-5 injury to his spinal cord, paralyzing him from the shoulders down. Since then, he has dedicated his life to helping others with spinal cord injuries. Through his foundation, Scott has helped fund breakthrough technologies and treatments for individuals with spinal cord injuries.
I've recently convinced Scott to start accepting Bitcoin donations through the foundation's website: fesslerfoundation.org

From what I heard, the April 13th Poker event went well, although I'm not sure if anyone in the community attended. He'll be posting pictures of the event soon.

I am very interested in this. Do you know where the money actually goes? Which research it has funded in the past?

I'm not sure which specific projects they are funding with this benefit. They have funded research at Case Western Reserve, and partnered with the Christopher Reeves Foundation for projects in the past.

If you are interested in attending or donating and curious where the donations are going, please shoot an email to:

Hello,
interesting..  You should checkout http://www.scsus.org/ for the Spinal cord Society site.  They seem to be progressing quite well..  They offer a newsletter also.
regards,
Brian
