I have a few coins waiting to be sold at the time the price reaches the magical $1000 mark, but it's more a symbolic gesture rather than securing profits for the purpose of securing profits.

If that would be the case, I could have easily taken profits at current levels as we aren't that far away from reaching $1000 right now.

I think that as soon as we reach $1000, we'll experience a short rush where we might even touch $1100, but after that I expect a correction to the $800 levels.

Yeah. I saw bitstamp and the bitcoin price is at $965.22 right now. $1000 a piece will happen anytime soon. The price is going better and better everyday. The price is really increasing so fast. I expect the $1000/price will reach before the current year ends. We are getting closer to reality.

So is this the reason for the sudden climb in bitcoin price because of this skeptical outlook on the Yuan's devaluation?
They do hold the most bitcoin per country and their government does not like their people to get more rich to just send that money offshore to buy luxury things such as houses, boats and cars. Which they end up making more money from those purchases when renting them off to rich locals where they buy them from in the first place.
So more money not taxed by their Chinese government makes them ever so mad to devaluate their own currency.

you don't have to sell you can use them in many ways, from normal shopping to paying bills, it's very comfordable to use bitcoin, no eyes watching your money and you can use them without worrying about anything, like taxes, i only dump for trading not for taking fiat and forget

I think there will be some correction when we reach most waited $1000 per coin level but i don't think that gonna be a big dump. Price may get stable at $1000 +/- $100 range. I am not going to cash out when it will hit $1000 and also suggest others to hold tight all coins you have.

I think there will be some correction when we reach most waited $1000 per coin level but i don't think that gonna be a big dump. Price may get stable at $1000 +/- $100 range. I am not going to cash out when it will hit $1000 and also suggest others to hold tight all coins you have.

I think when we reach the $1100 we will go full throttle for a new ATH!
And after that at some point we will see a bigger correction happening.
The thing is is no one knows when that is going to happen because this is unchartered territory and the hype, fomo, greed may push the price to crazy highs in a matter of just a few minutes/hours.

People don't really treat Bitcoin much as being a currency tool to pay for things. Bitcoin for the most part is being seen as a speculative investment tool. That's why it doesn't really matter whether or not people are able to spend their coins everywhere. People care about adoption to pick up & pumps and dumps. Same basically goes up for gold. People don't want to walk into a store and spend it. They want gold to maintain its value over a long period of time.

Now waiting if there's an attempt of a dump once the price reached $1000. Surely it will come even as we speak here since no way people will get profits out of the multiple pump happens starting from the range of $700.

More importantly, the stability must established at around $800 so that it will now be the new bottom. It's far way better than jumping to $1000 as we all know, still lack of support since many are just waiting for sell off to take profits.

Well, today we just reach $963, less than $40 to break the wall of $1000.
I always check it regularly in several hours to see how is it going and happily to see it growing.
There's no point to waiting for $1000 and then sell out your bitcoin, don't you think it is inflict a financial loss?
I mean, there is no point to have intended to sell out when the price reach certain point due to small profit, it's better to spend your coins in daily life or sell out when you don't have any other option.

The rise of the price could be related to the popularity of bitcoin but for real there isn't one factor that can explain the positive move but it is an accumulation of many such as the devaluation of fiat,...etc

Well, today we just reach $963, less than $40 to break the wall of $1000.
I always check it regularly in several hours to see how is it going and happily to see it growing.
There's no point to waiting for $1000 and then sell out your bitcoin, don't you think it is inflict a financial loss?
I mean, there is no point to have intended to sell out when the price reach certain point due to small profit, it's better to spend your coins in daily life or sell out when you don't have any other option.
