Excellent! Well done Tomorrowman.  Now there's a symbol that a mooncoin user would be happy to enjoy. ...  Please more like this.

Tomorrowman your a freaking legend, I would love this as a mooncoin user.

Here is my suggestion how to use our wonderful current logo

People subconsciously better take a simple design, because it is associated with ease of use, so our current logo is very good.
The contour of the silhouette does not make the logo too heavy in contrast to the original
Leave Blue because it fits well with the name of the coin.
The logo is simple, easily perceived, remembered, easily adapted to any design (I say this as a designer)

Yikes, a few professional colleague designers told me that it's actually pretty bad to just use an outline as your main logo.. You should at least add some depth:

Right now I have four color alterations examples to my design, which can be find using the links down below.

I think my idea could be easily implemented into any design concept for a website, application icon, etc. It includes a moon icon, and it is a very modernized look that will attract a lot of new people to the coin.

The minimalist approach with the single moon design found up above would be easily overlooked. It is pretty much just a moon, not really changed at all into a symbol for the coin. A moon by itself can represent a million things besides an alternative coin. I fully believe having a distinguishable logo that people can see and say "That icon represents Mooncoin" is important. I am not saying my design is the only option, but it should not be a basic crescent moon.

I would also like to say thank you for all of the hard work going on here! I love the designs incorporating the current logo. I'm loving the positive message growing today, we got this guys! Let's move this project forward with a bang! I'm not a graphic artist or a programmer,(I have dabbled in both) but I'm learning as much as I can to help. For now, I'm spreading the word about mooncoin, and how amazing it and it's community is. I want to be a part of something big, and I am fully convinced that moon is part of it.

P.S. I apologize for not getting involved sooner, I've been a lurker for quite some time. I hope to be of some help Smiley

Look at  IOS 10, the depth is no longer in the trend) Look at any logo of large companies, you will not find shadows there, because their use is impossible, if it is a question of different promos.
Your version of the logo is not bad, but it looks more like a cartoon or a weather forecast and does not meet the modern principles of logo design.

The modern principles of logo design are first of all simplicity, standardization and universality. The logo is not a presentation of the company, it is a recognizable symbol first of all, which for a second will allow the user to distinguish one product from many others...
IMO  Cool

Yes, the drop shadow was just a quick fix to place it on the coin like bg, preferably it would be just the shaded moon + a moon like coin behind it.

But you version does not meet modern principles of logo design either. Using bare outlines is not good. Like you say yourself the logo should be a recognizable symbol. Bare outlines (and my version as well) are too simple to be properly recognizable.

You need to add subtle details.

I am not any kind of "pro" to judge, but I have to say I really like your work! Job well done Tomorrowman!

Mooncoin logo should have the moon inside it, IMO. :-)

Of course great to see other proposals also, good job everyone! Marvelous to see We have so active community here.

The Moon will Rise!

No, it was before the fork, the addresses were frozen since block 1,100,000 (March, 23),

Here's an interesting thought;

How was nico's crescent moon design voted in?

There is currently NO stake weight voting system in place, as he states would be the correct way of voting a new logo in... so how was it decided his logo would replace the original gold moon logo?

Eagerly awaiting a straight answer.

Very simple.
People posted that they didn't like an original yellow logo (I personally liked the logo just as agswinner),
then nico suggested the new logo 'blue moon' and people supported it in their posts.
No one minded actively.

In my opinion, it's more important not to separate the community and accept the things only with which all or almost all agree with.
Maybe we should avoid too much bureacracy, leave it for centralized systems.
Of course, you are right, new members are very active and we should respect their decision to join Mooncoin when it's not so cheap like before,
on the other hand old members waited for years and never gave up, so I respect them too.

Good morning from Greece. I agree with Mooncoin Foundation. We need to agree all active Mooncoin's holders for a final solution about logo. There are many other posotive issues for the future.  Smiley

It looks solid on smaller resolutions as well:

Tomorrowman's one is just way too plain for an awesome coin like Mooncoin!
