Hi, Need help to take a decision from experienced miners Smiley.

* 1 Container Unit = 7.5 PH of compute power @ 1.1 MW of energy
* BitFury's most advanced 16nm ASIC chip
* Price @ $1.2 MLN per Unit

Currently you'll earn around $6k a day. However you will earn less each day as the difficulty increases.. It has stopped increasing like crazy though..

1,200,000. + 324,000 = 1.5 million

6k. X 365 = 2.1 million

If nothing breaks and diff stays flat.

If diff jumps and price drops you lose.

If diff jumps and price is flat you break even

If diff jumps and price jumps you could make solid money.

Can you afford to lose 1/2 the 1.5 million?

Cause that is possible

I mine alt coins with https://simplemining.net I see BTC as the super highway and alt coins as taxis and trucks needed to move transactions.

Over the course of the year you should EXPECT difficulty to increase. The price of BTC is roughly $1000 and may well approach it's all time high this year. That is not a recipe for a flat, much less decreasing, difficulty. One thing to remember though is that at the end you should have something of value, even it isn't still $1.2 Million.

One item I didn't see mentioned: WHEN can this delivery and installation take place? If it's 6 months in the future, that's entirely different than this month.

I haven't tried to do the math, but $27000 for 1.1 Megawatt-Months seems like a really low electricity price. Is that accurate?

I'm no expert in mining but I know the risks involved investing for mining bitcoin, if that money is all you've got then I'd suggest to stop doing what you're about to do and think of other ways to earn an income, but if you can afford to lose at least 50% without getting hurt hard then go for it and try not to sell as soon as you mined the coins but sell just to keep the miners running with no problem and keep most of the coins for long term because bitcoin mining really is only about the future and a decent daily expenses if possible nothing more but the risks are very high.

Yes, $27K per month will cover maintenance and electricity. Unit will be ready in 60 days.

That one is less efficient than the Bitmain S9. So it is more risky.

It's super cheap. $27,000 per month is roughly $900 a day, or $37.50 an hour. Using 1.1MW, you're looking at ~$0.034 per kWh. To have that cover both energy *and* maintenance costs is impressive.

This is something we are considering, but the 15PH mining box, do you guys still think that mining BTC today with these boxes are worth while. we were planning to buy at least 20 boxes to start with.

Good luck getting them to respond. I have enquired more than once and received no responses. I don't think they are interested in selling any at this point.

Were you just looking at buying or buying and having them host them also?
