What does the posting option "Return to this topic" do?

Normally, I've seen an option to "Notify me by email of new posts to this thread." --- which I like.

However, in this forum, that seems to be replaced with:  "Return to this topic"  -- which I have no idea what that means?
Whoever mines the block which ends up containing your transaction will get its fee.

Oh. Ok.

But that's not important to me.

What I really want is....  a notification by EMAIL when someone replies to a thread I am subscribed to (one I have posted or replied to).

Does this forum have that capability?

No. It was disabled. Nothing on bitcoin.org ever sends any email.

Well that sucks. I'd like to know when someone posts to a thread I started without having to check back every 5 minutes. When I click the "Profile" item on the top menu, there are options available for this and instructions on how to click a Notify button to subscribe to a thread. Why does that even show up or at least have some kind of "disabled" stamp on it?  Sad
