http://centreforinquiry.ca/quebecs-bill-59-a-hate-speech-law/

TLDR: You can now be added to a permanent "thought crime registry" imprisoned, and fined up to $10 000 if you are suspected of commiting thought crimes in Canada.

"The person can also report any situation that could contravene the prohibitions in section 2, in particular if the person has knowledge that such speech is about to be engaged in or disseminated or if the person has been asked to engage in or disseminate such speech. "

Hate speech law is a good law. It will protect individuals from hearing hate comments. This law will also protect the youth from bullies who are saying harsh words to them in front of the public. This law will not be passed if there are no big reasons or stories behind it. There is possibly some societal issues that triggers the government to issue this bill. Let us remember that in every law there are studies conducted and it will not be passed if it will not bring positive changes to the society.
Do you really believe the diarrhoea you dribble?

Things are really getting out of hand in this dispensation of democracy which attempts to guarantee some basic human rights that we are entitled to but it seems all those rights enshrined in the constitution of our respective countries is becoming an illusion everyday by day. Agreed that Freedom of Speech is an illusion on its own but this, I am not also entitled to my thought, government has failed in no small way and this is nothing short of going back to ages time.

Democracy is not a thorough system, but who knows the system better? Yet the world does not know more than a good device companies. Besides, do not confuse democracy with anarchy. Are two different things!

I guess laws in canada are different than in their neighbors to the south. The US has freedom of speech
but due to recent events happening in Quebec I can see why they put this law into place.
Senseless killing and the aftermath which ensued with meat being thrown on people's cars and the anti this and that had become the breaking point for them to put such laws into effect.
Also with some of the recruitment that comes from up there it is no surprised that something had to be done about it cause it has all become too much for one congregated culture to handle without law enforcement stepping in front of the law breakers.

But where is the line where freedom of speech turns into a real weapon against the state? Let's see how Putin is using freedom of speech to journalists bribed to propagate their lies to the whole world.

The shooter has been captured, should the entire population now be punished with censorship and thought policing?
Now who is qualified to decide what is acceptable for you to hear and to speak? the institutions and political establishment are completely rotten to the core, and you trust them to make decisions for you? Haha

If you pass such insane laws, then there will be repercussions from the majority ethnic group. The Quebec shooting was a direct result of the extreme Muslim appeasement by the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. I wonder what he is going to do next? Probably he will introduce some law saying that children must be arrested for presumed hate speech when they were inside the womb.

This is the most insane thing I have ever heard about the excesses of government because they just want to control every aspect of our lives control your movement, your schooling, your finances, your procreation, even now you are no longer entitled to your thought again. I feel sorry for the Canadians but the way this will spread, I am sure in no distant time other governments will start going after this model.

You are too exaggerating. I agree to sacrifice part of their freedom for security guarantees. The whom and for what thoughts will be punished. My concern is that after the Prime Minister of Canada expressed the desire to accept all who are not allowed in America terrorist attacks happened in Canada. Do not you think it suspicious?

Do you know what Gulag? Those are the camps where the NKVD exiled convicts. They were similar to the conditions of prisoners in German concentration camps. You've seen it in Canada?

This is not a metaphor! This is an attempt to humiliate Canada. Felt tactics Russian. In fact, in Russia and 50% of the freedom that is and will be in Canada after the adoption of this law.
