No, each box has to same probability of winning no matter how much money you send. One way to increase you chances of winning is to purchase multiple boxes.

When does the timer start?

The timer will start once there are at least 2 boxes bought (green).

What happens if my box is awaiting confirmation (orange) when the contest ends?

Your box will transfer over to the next contest.

How many confirmations does my payment need?

We only require 1 confirmation in order for your box to be included.

How much does each box cost?

Each box costs 0.001 BTC.

Regarding Jackpot? What do you mean by jackpot? I dont see anything about jackpot, I think what you mean is the total pot of bought boxes.

The design isn't perfect, it's very cheap but after all if the site is completely new it's rather normal, no problem with that.
But 20% House edge... Wow, that's a freaking high fee. Especially for a new site!
It's just that as you may know you are NOT the first one to create a jackpot kind of site but most of the other sites aren't taking so much, 20% is too much sorry.

Oh and saying it's provably fair isn't enough you got to prove it ^^

But congrats on finishing your site I hope you'll succeed

Well, I'm not the site creator so I won't answer but the answer should be obviously no.
Because if the script can select another spot then it's PLAIN AND PURE SCAM! Especially as the timer starts after 2 boxes were bought. That would mean that 98 other players have to enter the game (or at least that 98 other boxes have to be bought) in order to actually reach the 80% redistribution they're claiming (which is already not a really high redistribution).

I didn't even think about that but it should be stated in the OP to be clear you're right.

We only select from the boxes that are paid, so there is no possibility of the choosing an empty box. Also, thank you for the suggestion of implementing a chat, we will definitely work hard to do this.

Thank you for the kind wishes. We agree that the house edge is too high, which is why we decided to remove it completely for the first week. After that we will decide a fair amount to set it at so that everyone is happy!


And finally, to address the issue of provably fair. We have not implemented a feature for checking, but we will work hard to do this as soon as possible as well.

We are a lottery site, your reward depends on how many other people enter. If 2 people enter, the jackpot is 0.002 btc. If all 100 enter, the jackpot will be 0.1 btc.

But just a little tip: you should buy a few boxes yourself.
Indeed to attract customers you have to put some coins that other players might have the chance to win! I don't want (and nobody wants) to have to send money and then hope for 6 hours that someone else will pay and then hope again that it hit my boxe.
Whereas if you buy for example 10 boxes yourself, then anyone who goes on the site will see what that they can win a 0.01 jackpot or even more if they bet here.

And on average it shouldn't cost you anything =)

That's a strange thing but very important. Provably fair is a bit a magical word. I never checked myself if a site was provably fair but I only play on site that say they are. The stupidity of people yeah xD

If you are selecting in this way it can't be said as provably fair method because players can't verify that you have picked winner by this method. Also you are selecting 1 winner out of 100 boxes in 6 hours time period, but i doubt there will be 100 participants always within that 6 hours period so if you pick up winning box that have never been purchased than where does that jackpot goes.

It looks like you are trying to modify site currently, hope you will find out way to overcome this types of confusion.

Yeah being transparent can bring him up some gamblers but still he needs to furnish his site right away so that we can try it out.

And with the concept of the game I guess is not very far with 64blocks.com but still this type of games are going to be unique.

For starters, I'd like to suggest a few things
1. Your website design is neat. However, there should be 3 tabs. First to show deposit address and the block we want to invest in. Show our current balance, chances of winning, the number of tickets bought and ticket number(s). There should be a bar showing the number of blocks filled and the amount left. An approximate time for the ticket drawing should be displayed accordingly.
2. The second page should show FAQ, why invest in your website, Bitcointalk link and your email address for support.
3. The third page should show all the transactions made for that jackpot along with the email address of users who deposited and their choices. Winner should be decided and their transaction must be shown along with their email address. Your website should be absolutely scam-free.
4. I assume, you should tip the winner 0.001*95 = 0.095BTC and keep the rest 0.005BTC for yourself.
5. All these above methods still aren't enough for trusting your website. Show us that you are trustworthy from your actions.

Your idea looks like lottery and i am quite sure that you will also suffer from not getting enough participants to start lottery. You could rather think about creating jackpot where people have to hit specific number to get that jackpot just like dice site. They don't have to wait for 6 hours to see the result and as they can roll and try their luck just after they send bitcoin to pot, they will be happy to keep rolling with new deposits which will grow pot size really quick and also people can easily verify each roll results.

Yes that is like having a house edge and a high one at that. Only if the blocks are full it is fair otherwise you have I tiny chance to double your bet. This system will only seem to work with more players. There must be a minimum amount of tiles used first.

Yeah 20% House edge is pretty huge effect on our bets, Even 5% house is pretty big also. 1%-2% is good enough for a house edge with ads in the site. Also i should suggest you need an SSL for your site, the pretty green thing on the upper left side of the url bar is a customer concern. If you have one then customer will trust your site.

I feel you need some advertisement or promo offers to kick start your website. You will lack in buyers for some months if it goes like this. Rather than waiting for buyers, make it a jackpot someone suggested. That will be better than this and allow users to buy multiple boxes in one transaction.

i totally understand everything about this lottery thing. What i really saying here is about fair for everyone, if everyone is limited to 1 ticket, all people might have the same chance to win so there is no "overpower" into lottery. Although they have a lot of money, they will sure share some chance to win some amount.

Until now i can't find any lottery that limit people because they need to earn money from this kind of games too so they will always make this kind of lottery games. Btw the chance of winning in lottery by using 1 tickets is like impossible because most of the time you will beaten by the one that have huge money so i think this is just some pointless thing to do if you dont have any balance to start with
