I love that picture.

But I do think this is fine.  There's no frigging asset price that can rise as high as bitcoin's did in the last 2 weeks and NOT have a correction.  It just doesn't happen.

I'm glad I was awake for the crash back to $850 or so.  I don't own a hell of a lot of bitcoin, so it was amusing to me to see the price drop as precipitously as it did.  It's a good reminder to all of us that bitcoin can still be crazy, crazy, volatile.  Not quite like 2013, but this was as close as we've seen.

22% drop isn't a "correction".

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

It's going fast again. Sub $800 within the hour.

Confirmed that we'll never be under $800 again. Thanks kwukduck. You're always pointing left when you should be looking to the right Roll Eyes

Corrections have to happen. It's not a crash. Don't sell and we all win in the end.

I wouldn't be too sure about that.
Bitcoin is trading at $825 on Bitfinex and $816 on BTC-E. A small selling bout could drive it below $800.
Long term holders have nothing to worry about, though.

I will agree with you because if you see it out of the box, the differences in the price isn't that huge or that bad. That's only my opinion though, am not an expert :p

But suddenly the prices bounced back to 900+ USD across all exchanges. Yes, it is true that the long term holders never need to worry about these fluctuations as Chinese yuvan not seeming stable and may get collapsed again just to make those Chinese investors to turn back into bitcoin again.

Well we still do not know if the price will decrease more but i believe  that it can stay long like when the price last year with 600 level and it stay long.. if the price will stay in 800 value until end of this month i am sure the movement will rise again this following months..

If the price remains hovering around current levels for quite some time, then it's not a problem at all. I don't think many people will vouch against a decent level of stability. But as it looks right now, dumpings seem to be over where I think that we will go up again next week. Maybe not directly to over $1000 again, but at least well over the $900 level.
