hay, ya know that new thing... somthing about decentralized currency? well I was just thinking that maybe we should all throw it into on centralized location. just one place and essentially one server that controls it is a fantastic idea. now we will just trust them with "the bitcoin" cuz they are nice good people. oh whats that?? we allready do do that??? oh well good i just wanted to make sure. hooray for thinking:)\

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

It's always been that way.

Give people a distributed mining setup and they give away their freedom, security, and self-dependence for a reduction in variance.

Give people a working peer2peer currency and they beg for a central bank to take away their freedom, security, and self-dependence.


Most people are so used to being abused they don't want the abuse to stop. It's all they know.
