I Think the possibility is very high, but it is still a long time before bitcoin can overcome paypal, we still need to increase the user amount, and not all people in the world know bitcoin, but most of the people in the world know paypal. But it will happen soon.

Right now this could be a good example. I could tell that bitcoin when compared to an animal is like an eagle while paypal could be the snake. So we already know what would happen when they faced off. Bitcoin is being used around the world and it surpass paypal's daily transaction by 2000% There's no competition at all.
2000% seems such a random number for me. Where did you even get that number? Even when let's say bitcoin ever surpass Paypal's number of transactions per day, it's totally possible that some people are accidentally boosting this number because of the automated pay outs and cash outs on different bitcoin paying websites. Last time I checked, Paypal has got a lot more number of transactions per day compared to bitcoins. I bet it's because all of the major online shops like Amazon and eBay are accepting Paypal while bitcoin is left out. All credit/debit cards can be connected to a Paypal account so most people are using it. While bitcoin, well you have to buy it from the exchanges and most people are afraid to do that. Paypal is just a lot more intuitive or newbie friendly than bitcoin. But today, the population of bitcoin are increasing more and more and people are trying their best to learn about bitcoin because bitcoin allows you to earn money online. I mean, who doesn't want an extra income? You have some solid points especially about PayPal and Ebay. This bums me out since if you had problems with PP, you dont have a way to use Ebay anymore because EBay is exclusive to PayPal even if they are not one company any more. Why the hell they do not diversify , maybe they have a secret agreement . I do not think that Ebay will go for block-chain ant time soon, they seem as very old fashioned and do not like innovation.

I dont think they should overcome each other, but it be better if they can work together. It would be nice to have my paypal getting the option to have it either go to my bitcoin wallet or to my pocket to spend on other things.
Bitcoins is presently overcoming the PayPal and following couple of months the bitcoins will finish replace ecclesiastical and after that individuals will utilize just the bitcoins for PayPal survive and they will likewise jump at the chance to put their cash in bitcoins in light of the fact that the costs of bitcoins are going increasingly elevated quickly and everybody likes to have benefit and to be a rich individual so on the off chance that you need to be a rich that enter the universe of bitcoins.

To be honest, I like to using Amazon to order from other countries than Ebay, because Amazon services can guarantee the product I bought better than Ebay

Bitcoin cannot be a choice for them right now, however they can work out on some other good crypto-currency than bitcoin, like Ethereum, which seems to have a better future. I think they can find ways to adopt cryptocurrency because if they are waiting for the price to be stable, it would not happen since people especially the whales loves to move the price all the time. They are a big company and still looking to grow their income, bitcoin could give a significant increase to their sales so they have to think about it.

In my opinion, it is very possible that cryptocurrency (such as bitcoin) can take place paypal in the future due to its decentralization and global reach (boarderless). But bitcoin's current transaction fee is high and its price fluctuate a lots. So it may take sometime.

Bitcoin is a lot better than paypal. It it can overcome it in the near future as more and more people discover and learn how to use bitcoin. Bitcoin is boarderless and tax free. Your transactions are secured where no one can monitor it. Almost all benefits of using paypal can be done through bitcoin and it has more advantages. Bitcoin today, competes with paypal and as soon as online stores and physical stores starts accepting payment through bitcoin, it will overcome paypal.

Finally, we all need to wait the result of the hardfork. Can next hardfork in this month improve the Bitcoin system? No one knows that! Therefore, until this hardfork can succeed like the hardfork of Ethereum recently, Bitcoin can continues to increases its value and has chance to overcome Paypal in future.

For now it seems paypal is still the primary choice of internet payment, but I'm sure someday or at least 3 years from now bitcoin will be overcome paypal. the main thing that makes paypal still strong is because it is supported by many banks and credit cards.

Absolutely yes, Bitcoin will overcome Paypal and left it behind. In the battle of digital currency, for providing payment and other transaction, Bitcoin as of now are gaining more improvement.
We are hoping that Bitcoin will incorporate more development and low transaction cost.

I think it's possible, I'm sure that once bitcoin immediately overcome paypal, this is because bitcoin market share is getting stronger, besides that many big companies are serious about developing bitcoin so that once bitcoin becomes number one in terms of online transaction system.

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, a digital decentralized payment system working without any central repository or single administrator. All transactions in this are through cryptocurrencies and unspent amounts are counted in Satoshis. While paypal is an online payment system to facilitate transactions in US$ only. One must have a credit card to use Paypal, while it’s not applicable in Bitcoin case.
Bitcoin has lower fees than Paypal. Paypal is not available in every country, but Bitcoin is border-agnostic like the Internet.
In my view, Paypal and Bitcoin have no comparison and hence, no question to overcome each other at least in the current scenario.

Not sure where this is coming from but bitcoin has already overthrown paypal by market cap. Many many times. Now it's time to am for bigger challenges like currencies etc. A 100 billion marketcap is huge but yet the beginning because adoption is yet to come.

I'm sure that once bitcoin immediately overcome paypal, this is because bitcoin market share is getting stronger Do you think that sometime in the future, Bitcoin might overcome Paypal, as it scales in capacity and userbase over the years? We already have the ability to create our own marketplace with OpenBazaar, that uses Bitcoin as its payment method, so it should be no surprise that the combination of these two may be a fierce competition for both eBay and Paypal. Nevertheless, feel free to vote on the poll above and express your opinion about it, if desired.

these are two different things, can't really compare, but paypal accepting cryptos as payments method... that would be nice, still the volatility of the market will prevent that from happening in the near future...
