Im new to bitcoin, did a few transactions in December with no problem. Sent 2 payments today, and neither one of them are getting confirmed, and the people I sent the payment to has not received them ( but the money is gone from my wallet. it has been 5 hours for the 1st one, and 3 hours for the last one. Previously payments went through right away
What can I do ?
Thanks

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Post the transaction ids of your transactions.

My guess is that you did not pay a sufficient transaction fee.

what you use to transaction? online or ofline wallet? try to check your transaction hash id. guess you don't pay enough fee (consequently consequently you have to wait a long to confirmed transaction)  or wrong address bitcoin.

you must include screenshots so that easy to answer

There is a lot of congestion in the network right now. I just sent a txn with the recommended Electrum fee and now I'm looking at 10+ hours for a confirmation: https://bitcoinfees.21.co/#delay

If you look here https://tradeblock.com/bitcoin/ there is about 18MB in the mempool, and since the max block since is 1MB and new txns are always coming in it's going to take a while to clear.

There are just two things came through my mind regarding on this matter on which you did not pay the average transaction fees when sending those bitcoins from other wallets and blockchain transaction congestion which really make confirmation too long even you pay the highest fees.
