Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

of course, but if you want to buy your BTC at a particular exchange, you gotta move USD Smiley

Not exactly. If you already have existing USD on an exchange, just buy Bitcoins on the first exchange and transfer them to the second exchange. This is far faster than moving USD from one exchange to another. Just my 0.02 BTC.

have you found a way to transfer USD from MtGox to BTC-e? Still looking for one myself.

Simply withdraw to bitcoin address BTC-E provide you on Deposit page. But bitstamp.com has better conversion rate on bitcoin/usd. It also has its USD "vouchers" like BTC-E has
