Sell or wait?

This year it is difficult to predict the growth of bitcoin. Perhaps there will not be any special changes, it will simply go down and then stabilize.

It may be difficult to predict bitcoins growth but there is one thing that everyone will be assured of. If you will going to keep the faith and hold bitcoins just wait for a while as the price once again reached $1,300. But I don't agree with you that it will simply go down and stabilize, it will be down for sometime but it will increase.

i am not in favour of selling bitcoins in present time, because we have waited for such a long time for the price of bitcoin to increase, and in present time we can see that the price of bitcoin start increasing, therefore i think it is important for some more time as it is expected that very soon the price of bitcoin is going to cross 1500 USD level.

I know why you are telling us, because you know in future and also in coming time bitcoin will be reached at more price, than definitely, it give us more profit. People who are interested in short term profits will keep on buying and selling their coins with each and every fluctuations to make quick profits but those who treat bitcoin as a pure form of investment will not bother about short term fluctuations and will prefer to hold them for a long time to make some higher profits from it.

I had thought that the sell when the price of bitcoin is now going to be very profitable. but, seeing bitcoin prices continue to rise slowly, making me think to hold bitcoin I have had in a very long time, probably about one year, because it might actually be a huge advantage.

Just hold your coins don't even think about selling any of your , i agree currently the price is growing really slowly compared to past. If you notice in a share market also price increases slowly itself so think bitcoin as a share market as we can't always expect it to grow 200$ a week.

It depends on the exchange. At this point the only exchange that might go through a serious price increase is Bitfinex due to all the withdrawal problems they are experiencing. Main point is that if the price at Bitfinex happens to reach such prices, that it won't have any value as it isn't the result of legit demand. Just wait for it -- if things go somewhat back to normal, the price will come down like 10% directly.

Don't fight against the trend, if you have a good chance to buy more bitcoins do it now, the price is rising and I don't think it will dump soon. It will continue to rise but make sure you are updated so you will know when to sell you bitcoin, the moment it starts to dump, it's a good time to sell, with that method you can make easy money in a short term period of time.

Point that I tried to make -- when you have made a decent profit, that waiting for the price to increase $20-$30 more is basically peanuts. I rather prefer to secure a certain part of my profits at given price, than waiting for the price to increase a few bucks, where I risk seeing the price go down. If the price happens to go up further, I have enough coins left to benefit from that increase. If the price goes down, I can use the fiat from the profits I secured to buy back at lower levels.

As suggested bitcoin price is the increasing side, so why to sell rather than just holding for a few more days or weeks and benefit out of the price increase. None should be forced because even now the increase is not assured, so by tomorrow if price falls the user who made decision on our suggestion will feel bad. So it's good to make their own decision.

I'm holding some and using partial to play with some Altcoins. Ultimately however, I'm sticking with my BTC stock.

If there is something you really want but you don't have the sufficient savings or funds then you should sell your bitcoin if you are in a profit. But if you recently purchased bitcoin or the thing you need is not so important like maybe a second car then keep it , it will surely increase in future.

I agree if you see that you are already in a profit or even if not, if you need money badly, it is the best time for you to sell.� At the end of the day it is what we need that is more important specially if the need is urgent.� But if you do not need money then I can say hold.� Bitcoin will increase in price and possibly break its ATH again.

I'm surely not going to sell my bitcoin at such a low price for sure. As far as i can predict i feel that i won't have any sort of emergency in this year. Even if there is i won't hesitate to sell it at a profit like this.

Maybe, that is always easy to say "just hold" instead of some valuable answer but let's imply that you are right.
Still, if we consider the very optimistic scenario in which bitcoin will increase its price up to 2000$ before the 2017 will end, then investing your BTC instead of just holding it, might bring you even better returns like that.
All you have to do, is to choose the correct way to invest, where you reduce the risk as hard as possible, but you cannot be afraid of small interest.

For example I can suggest just going into poloniex and using their lending services. It is pretty much risk free because the owners of the website are covering you, plus the rates are really decent if it comes to lending the money.
It is all settled in bitcoins, so you are getting interest every month from the money you have converted to BTC, but also you are gaining even more profits thanks to the increasing BTC price.
