Gox price manipulation existential threat to Bitcoin

Bitcoin has a central bank in MtGox, and like all central banks it can't resist engaging in price manipulation. By trying to prevent a necessary crash they  are preventing true price discovery which in the end is the only way any crypto currency can gain widespread legitimacy.
