Yes it great to see the market open on cryptopia.co.nz again.

SFC did receive some buy volume on coin exchange.io during this temporary market halt, mining still continued. The mining community experience growth with new people joining the pools. With the migration for cryptopia.co.nz and SFC forking the coin has shown promise and has remained steady.

There are exciting discussions on Slack (PM SolarFlareProject with your e-mail to join) about the future of SFC and and how to develop and improve the coin. The dev and other members or the team are active in technical discussions. We have great people who have come to our aid and offered help and are very very knowledgable and experienced with crypto. They helped secure SFC to prevent certain attacks.

We have discussions about different markets in different countries. An example is that members discuss what needs to be done before entering the Chinese market. How to protect the coin, a future plan. Talking to members. Ideas are constantly being shared and would like to welcome new ideas.

You do not have to be technical to offer an idea. Slack members are always communicating and are active in solving issues and progressing forward. It is often within the Slack environment where you will hear communication first then very quickly followed by other social media. This is only natural because you can hold discussions at Slack. The dev will always post here on Bitcointalk.

If you know nothing about crypto or have an issue with mining or just want to say hi, please do. Not all chats are technical or even about code.

The Dev was not aware of why cryptopia's market was frozen and not until he was told by members. There was no communication with cryptopia anywhere, even via e-mail or txt. The moment there was no contact with SolarFlareProject, he asked the community (via Slack) to help get in contact. Different members posted their replies from them and SolarFlareProject was able to get in direct contact with cryptopia. There was alot of work behind the scene's.

There are a couple of exciting projects are yet to be announced. SolarFlareProject will do this in time but these are active projects. Now the issues are behind us we can concentrate more on these projects and discussing ideas.

Sorry for delay on reply. there's no problems or issue on sending/receiving coins from/to Cryptopia. All troubles was related with the attack of last week, that now looks to be resolved.

Unfortunately during last 10 days we was really concerned about the future of the coin, the whole project was put in discussion by several problems:
first the difficulty that retargeted very slowly causing blocks of the network and transactions stuck on the blockchain. While working on this, we had a sever attack to the blockchain.
When finally both problems where solved, Cryptopia decided to close the market for more than 3 days, freezing funds of lots of users, locking deposit and withdraw without any further notice.
Thats caused a fall on interest of the coin, miners stopped or paused to mine the coin, volume crashed to zero...and everything happened just on the moment when the interest of coin started to rise up again with a price stable daily increase.
After that, was impossible for me and who is helping me on that project to also think what to implement new,what to develop first, which exchange contact to add us...then also plaina signature campaign for a coin completely freezed was not easy as the whole project was put in discussion.
Now we only hope that this project will not be called again to face some other problems.

Your Pool works flawlessly and you have catered to all the difficulties. :-) All rigs large and small. I see a few more other miners have joined the pools and there is volume on cryptopia. I can't wait for block 16K when the reward is 350 SFC. I will be watching twitter for the announcement.

He never said fork was caused by cryptopia. but cryptopia DID freeze accounts after hardfork had already been made and blockchain was working. and they were asked if there was something to help so market could be opened earlier, but they never responded on that question.

but in the end, I don't think it matters at this point, what happened, happened.

When finally both problems where solved, yet another problem became obvious when exchange transactions were noticed to be changed and Cryptopia closed the market for more than 3 days, freezing funds of lots of users, locking deposit and withdraw without any further notice whilst they dealt with other important issues and also the effect of the fork on their books.
The combined effects of these calamities caused a fall on interest of the coin,


personally i have found Cryptopia to be trustworthy and responsible.
i believe the fork came at a bad time for numerous reasons, one of which was that Cryptopia was in the middle of an important upgrade which could not be ignored.

i have no idea if Cryptopia would have dealt with the issues more speedily at any other time,
but the simple fact is that SFC forked and Cryptopia was effected. then they dealt with it.

Sorry for lack of infos of last days but during last days my daily job was time & energy consuming, then had not so much time to update topic or twitter, but i've continued to work on some new things that should come soon.

1 - Regarding platform:
we received lots of questions regarding how it works or when will be released: we know that the platform could give to the coin a great push to the high,for this we are working on defining some echonomics details and how the plans should works.
This need time and some private tests before to be released, then we still need a little bit of time.
As already explained, the platform will work like a bitcoin cloud mining platform, where you can buy an investment pland (not lifetime in our case) and at the end of the plan you will get back your investment plus a % revenue, and platform will take only a small fee. At first step will be launched a basic version with different investment plans and others will come on the way. That's all for the moment

2 - Regarding Bittrex:
On the best performance moment of the coin, we had some contacts with Bittrex admins and we was very happy about their opening on list Solarflarecoin on their reliable exchange. Daily they have almost 1000 BTC volume and thats could help for sure Solarflarecoin on reaching market audience that at the moment Cryptopia don't reach. Combining development and market volume, thats could be a big boost for the coin. Unfortunately, during the best moment for SFC in those good days of high prices and volumes on markets, and good hype on the community, we had  the disastrous event of market freezing on Cryptopia. Tats happened exactly when we started to talk with Bittrex, then all discussion was delayed waiting for a more stable moment (not any exchange want to consider to open market trades for a coin or good that is under review or have their market freezed and funds locked on other exchanges, they want first be sure that everything works fine and the coin is stable and we can'0t blame him for this)
Now that we are sure that the blockchain was secured, that mining operations and difficulty retargeting are working perfectly (and all thanks to the great work of Bumbazion and the contribution of Mr.Belly), now that we are sure that are no issue on withdraws/deposit/transfers of coins, we reopened talks with Bittrex and we count to have soon great news, but everybody here know that time and outcome of listings are not in our hands.

3 - Regarding other developments:
Probably you noticed that thanks to the great work of Lombaqe, also if we had some bad days (and price and volume of today confirm that lack of interest of users on the coin) development was not stopped.
Lombaqe released the Official Solarflarecoin Mining Pool http://solarflarecoin.us/mining where every miner is invited to contribute  with hashpower on mining blocks. Mine on SFC Official Pool will help us a lot, because thanks to the fee we could collect some other funds for development, is not too much but can help us on buy and offer you better services or maintain servers. Me and Lombaqe also worked on a web version of SFC wallet, and also if this is still in beta, we experienced that is working fine.

But as i want to offer more stable, reliable and complete products to my community, then yesterday i started to talk with the staff of Coinomi https://coinomi.com regarding the add of Solarflare to their packet of supported altcoins, and they are very happy to out us in the family.
Why Coinomi? They offer native support for bitcoin, and most major altcoins are supported on the app. Thanks to their partner ShapeShift https://www.shapeshift.io  they have their own internal exchange where you can convert between altcoins instantly from the web interface or within the Android app (ios coming soon), or enables you to use your altcoins to pay directly to bitcoin addresses and vice versa.
