Whos acting as a escrow for this ico and will you have milestone goals that need to be met before the btc are released to you?
The escrow will be run by a well-known provider (we have two options that we are exploring) We haven’t yet made a decision about the milestone goals. When will that decision be made and when will your escrow be made public? Hey bittrojan, just wanted to let you know that we have leaned away from using milestones but are still considering a time released ICO payout. We never included milestones in the Roadmap because it’s not apart of the plan at the moment. Just thought we should explain this better, since you inquired previously. If we can do this without having an outside party in partial control of the project we should attempt that route first.

Hello I am a historian who researches the events/milestones of cryptocurrency. I have published books over 2-3 years: https://www.amazon.com/Mr-Chris-P.-Thompson/e/B00S5L3PVM/ref=ntt_dp_epwbk_0Would the SilverCoin community be interested in a history book (longer than the first year!) for your coin. We can negotiate how we can proceed. I normally require a community to donate at least 1 BTC to help fund the project. I look forward to hearing from you. Kind Regards, Chris

Level I - Initial Coin Distribution - Protocol payout starts at 16 coins per referral will this be an ICO?
No. As Im the CEO of silvercoin.io, I will give all the tokens away. What's going to happen to the list of collected e-mail addresses that You (the coin creator) have created ( and control distribution of) this NEW (read; created for no cost) coin ? We (the coin-collectors) are basically just a crypto-paid e-mail address collection service that are being paid in a currency that has no value ? Nope, not gonna touch this coin with a 30' pole. Sounds way to much like VTA Virtacoin

Sounds way to much like VTA VirtacoinWe probably should have mentioned this earlier but the forum member ‘logictense’ is not the CEO of SilverCoin. He/she is not involved with this project. And any emails collected will never be shared or sold to anyone. No reason to do this. SilverCoin actually provides exceptionally high value. Just the first transaction alone is a triple win because in every single payout… The referral gets free access to the 32 TrueFreedom training videos. The referrer gets silvercoins for making it happen. And SilverCoin gets a brand new member. Highest value for all parties involved. TrueFreedom is the key. Hope that explains it better.

I like the idea of selling bullion for silver coin, the pegging scenario is too fraught with difficulties, especially as you're giving it away ..

Yeah, this way we have the advantage of incorporating physical silver into the project without having the project defined/constrained by it. And while we do give out coins, they are only paid out for work done… so it’s not like we are giving them away freely. You could say silvercoin is more akin to a human proof of work vs computer POW.

We are big believers in physical silver as well. It's possible that physical silver and bitcoin may be 2 of the top investments of our time. And we plan on riding both trends to its maximum potential... Silver + Bitcoin = SilverCoin. But that's just a side effect of what we are really aiming to do here. Thanks for the comment btw, these last few days we've been focusing on getting the bounty program launched and haven't been following the forum closely.

when is plan ico selling and open bounty need indonesian translation, if open bounty translation in silvercoin i want reserve to indonesian languange and plan ico selling use escrow or not, who is youre use escrow in ico selling
ICO is scheduled to begin in late March and the bounty program is on course to open this coming Thursday. Everything is just about done with the bounty program; it’s mostly about testing right now. We will be using an escrow for sure and the idea is to run the ICO on a trusted exchange like Bittrex. That’s our goal and that will become our main focus starting next Monday. We are attempting to do the translation bounties in a different way: 1. First, WE will translate each local language using our website translator. 2. So each different local ANN is the same as this ANN. 3. To earn ‘translation’ bounties, you can join our bounty program and add your affiliate link into your profile signature. 4. Then just contribute, promote and update your local thread when and where possible. 5. You’ll earn coins for every person who joins our bounty program via your affiliate link. There’s also the added incentive of getting free coins just for joining so that should boost payouts. Couple benefits of doing it this way: 1. Everyone can participate. No need to reserve bounties. 2. All OP announcements will be consistent. 3. The more you contribute the more you should earn. 4. It’s easy to do and there are no obligations on your part. Here’s a sneak peak of one of our banners for the bounty program…

I still do not understand why are you linking Email addresses to silvercoin wallets ? Why not work with *just* wallet addresses? This creates a serious problem for anyone concerned with anonymity, such as myself.

This creates a serious problem for anyone concerned with anonymity, such as myself. It’s our intention to just use wallet addresses when we integrate the wallet with the affiliate software. That’s apart of official project launch. However, for this upcoming bounty program we will be using email confirmed opt-in as part of our fraud protection. The earned silvercoin will be paid out manually to the wallet address affiliates enter in their dashboard area. Now if someone wanted to participate in the bounty but really didn’t want to use their email, they could always create a new email account and use that. Bit of a hassle but a decent work around for now. Project Update: The bounty program is ready to launch but we’ve decided to postpone it until Monday rather than start it at the end of the week.

Isn't that the point of failure that can be abused though ? 1/ create email 2/ sign up 3/ create throwaway second email and refer to 1st 4/ create throwaway third email and refer to 2nd (or 1st) 5/ create throwaway fourth email and refer to 3rd (or any above) 6/ and so on 7/ and so on Never underestimate the creativity of the seriously underhanded programmer/scammer/SMTP operator and the ability to automate mundane repetitive tasks. If you underestimate their ability JUST THIS ONE TIME, it will destroy your ICO and the communities trust in your coin. You might think about talking to the DCR dev team. They gave away a wallet address generator. Then asked for people to submit the wallet address for the opt-in airdrop. The generator was self contained and prevented double install (at least on the same computer). Even that was much more safeguarded than this system your thinking of using. Dont get me wrong, I DO want to be involved! But I am not wanting to get involved with a coin that suddenly finds itself with 4-5 scammers that ended up with 80% of the ICO.

Good questions hacksmash, You are correct. The email comfirmed optin is easy to abuse. But it is an effective barrier to weed out a certain level of fraudulent sign ups. Our affiliate tracking however is done via cookie and ip address tracking and is independent of email. Plus we have several other levels of fraud protection activated and will be watching closely. Also, this affiliate campaign is just for the 100,000 SVC bounty program, which is 1% of the ICO total and only 0.01% of total supply so if we run into a problem it will be contained. As well, if there is undeniable evidence of massive fraud we can withhold payment to that person. We are considering a 5% max. SVC supply for ICO investors to avoid having a few people with majority of coins. We are concerned about that as well. We hope to have you on the team soon. Monday is our true launch date. ☺
