These guys are crooks, plain and simple. If they can't manipulate the price action they want they just pull the plug and make up some bullshit about DDOS, too much demand, IT guy has the flu, etc.

YEP i have been in awe seeing the move over the charts watching the extraordinary pumping process:
3 consecutive 2k buy orders  encapsulating all sell orders, at any price.
Who in their right mind would trade like that in such situation !!

How Ripple Rips you: "The founders of Ripple Labs created 100 billion XRP at Ripple's inception. No more can be created according to the rules of the Ripple protocol. Of the 100 billion created, 20 billion XRP were retained by the creators, seeders, venture capital companies and other founders. The remaining 80 billion were given to Ripple Labs. Ripple Labs intends to distribute and sell 55 of that 80 billion XRP to users and strategic partners. Ripple Labs also had a giveaway of under 200 million XRP (0.002% of all XRP) via World Community Grid that was later discontinued.[29] Ripple Labs will retain the remaining 25 billion"

OP seems a little paranoid but it is odd that prices are so much higher on MG than Bitstamp at the moment.

Sounds like time to dump some coins on Gox and complain to regulators when you can't get dollars out.

Unfort. btc deposits haven't been working for hours. If they're trying to support the price they are going about it the right way.

Actually trying to make a floor is responsible of them. If it works is another matter.

There's probably people who can be trusted to establish a floor. Gox doesn't seem to be run by those people.
