They say ignorance is a bliss. This is the most common reason people don't embrace bitcoin yet. They are ignorant about it and lack the desire to know it and it's advantages. I also know a lot of people who are afraid to , I have talked several times to my friends , we have drink coffees several times in the neighbor bar and I have shown them with a laptop about everything, from creating a secure wallet through electrum or buying a hardware one up to S9 antminer. They like the idea of bitcoin very much, yet they are still afraid to embrace it.
So main reasons are 2. Ignorance and fear.

heard it from zach de la rocha there are people and companies are already wanting to use bitcoin but they feel like its too late for them. bitcoin's price is too much to invest into. they probably prefer to chose the cheaper ones.

It would really need time for bitcoin to be adopted even more and you are right same as internet it does need time for people to adopt it.Seeing the situation of bitcoin now i could really say that it has the potential on growing even more in the long run.If they know the benefits of bitcoin they would really got interested.

Yes I totally agree with you, just because people haven't seen the real potential of bitcoin and felt the power of it, they choose to be ignorant. Fear of changing old system, changing what has been no longer efficient is also the reason for this kind of problem. But in the same time, the fact that there are some people, who are poor-acknowledged or misunderstanding the concept of blockchain technology and bitcoin, trying to stop and persuade others to avoid bitcoin is also the case. I've met some of this kind of people and I think they have somehow slowed down the growth of bitcoin.

I know, but how to raise people's awareness about bitcoin and blockchain technology is the tricky part as there are many problems you will have to face while doing this. First of all, explaining about bitcoin and how it works is harder than you thought, people might not understand what you said but they could also be misled and this results in people going against it. And also, it's not easy to persuade people, as some of them still think that bitcoin is just a scam and they shouldn't use it, and changing people's view of point is almost impossible.

There are people who are close minded about a newer technology especially when not supported by the government and I can say you cannot do anything about it to change their mindset as like I have mentioned, they are close minded. We should not waste our time, instead use it to educate people who loves to know changes that would help to make a better future.

I think Friedrich Nietzsche said it best — 'And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the
music.'
We are dancing on the music of a ground breaking technology, also called : The Internet of Money and the rest of the Fiat slaves are not
hearing the music. Can we blame them for not dancing?
We should make them hear the music, and the only way to do this, will be to increase the volume. The volume on the exchanges and the
volume of merchants and the volume of Bitcoin ATM's and the volume of information on public social media.
-= Increase the volume, so that we can all dance together =-
Meh. I don't think it's because metaphorically they can't hear the music, but because they choose not to. Let me ask you a question, have you found some posts about bitcoin on social media sites like Facebook? I think all of you would say yes. Fiat slaves have read those as well but it was their choice to ignore it. Metaphorically, they can hear the music but choose to pretend they're deaf. They are afraid to get out of their comfort zone. There's plenty of people out there that are looking for online jobs. Yet here we are, not even more than a million in population. We're the only ones that chose to (metaphorically) dance to the music that we're constantly hearing.

Well on your point what the majority of people only know is that Bitcoin is some kind of dark currency in which only bad people use and is illegal all over the world. By having that kind of first impression to something like Bitcoin it can have people closing their doors on accepting Bitcoin as a revolutionary currency. But there is still hope that peoplce can change their mind and that is when other people start to use Bitcoin.

I have some reasons which I are of paramount to me which are
1.The cost of a btc, this is something for someone who is earning quite an amount of dollars, it might be small money but same cannot be said of citizens living in developing countries in which daily spending is less that $1.
2 Another reason is the issue of legality and uncertainty about what government might do next which if its negative, it might turn out to be bad investment.
3. Is the negative things being peddled in the media concerning bitcoin for someone who is looking from afar, will be discouraged to even try to move closer to really have a first hand experience on what is being said exactly.

Meh. I don't think it's because metaphorically they can't hear the music, but because they choose not to.
" Don't expect a man to understand something, if his livelihood depends on him being unable to" Not sure who said that, but it fits a broader explanation for why alot of people reject it: Bitcoin, and all the phenomenon surrounding it, upsets their view of the world, it turns their world-view upside down. And those people don't like what they see, they prefer the eyes-closed/fingers-in-ears approach. Early on in Bitcoin, I tried convincing someone about BTC by explaining the long-term risks that using fiat money entails. He replied: "Well, maybe when the bond market crashes, the banks fail, the banks requisition all public infrastructure, and hyperinflation ensues, maybe I'll think about Bitcoin once all that has happened". This is what we're up against, lol

Even if people heard about bitcoin, it won't instantly attract them as everyone have different thought and respond. Some of us already explained to friends or family but, how much of them really like bitcoin. We need more time and entertaining information to introduce bitcoin, the most effective is through payment service at big stores in everywhere, then it takes maybe 10-20 years later.

This is what we're up against, lol I had very similar experiences. In fact, I think that answer is very simple, people are afraid to try something new. Most people are content with their lives, jobs, families, friends etc. They maybe heard about so much failed projects on Internet or that bitcoin is decentralized and without government control. Many people are scared by such things and don't want to go out of their comfort zone and try something new, revolutionary. It's more safe just to continue in old ways, without any risk involved.

When I met Bitcoin, I also had the impression that it was a currency made for darknet markets, mainly due to the news involving silkroad. But now I see that this is not the main purpose of Bitcoin. First, It is a currency that allows things to be done with greater transparency, since the transactions can be consulted in the blockchain. Also, Bitcoin is not as untraceable as some people think, that's why there are some altcoins trying to implement more features to make them more private.

Yes awareness is a must but this process should be done naturally and by not force . If a person shows signs of interest then go lead the way but if they not then don't force them .
Why do we need a really interested person in this community? Cause you will be having a hard time understanding it and most especially its technical stuffs if you are just interested in making money through it not on the thing itself . I have seen most people in my local via facebook groups (Most groups) doesn't really understand bitcoin so they just keep getting scammed and scamming people . It turned like a networking or some kind pyramid scheme which is literally not good .
And encouraging people into this must be done with a sense of responsibility cause bitcoin is not finished yet, Still new and developing . It can dump in some years or so .

This is a first impression many of us have, but if we think a bit more about it, any currency is used by the evil, it's not exclusivity of bitcoin or any other crypto-currency. The problem is many people still don't use bitcoin because of it. Another point I think many people don't use this currency yet it's because bitcoin price is very unstable and only speculators have interest on it for now,.

Are you asking , why people who are enrolled in a campaign do not get their pay even after posting? If yes then the main reason might be that , they might be posting stuff which might be off topic or their post quality will be poor. As campaigns have been paying people whose posts are good and who posts achieve the requirements listed by the campaign.

I think that most people don't even know about existence of cryptocurrencies and in order to "volume up", first of all, local organizations (both public and private) should take care of increasing the level of knowledge. Only after that will people start to analyze what do they prefer.

Yes, the reason why people are afraid to use bitcoin is most surprised by things such scams. Plus the lack of knowledge on bitcoin, and this makes them not want to know bitcoin let alone use it. Therefore, we as bitcoin users who already know what is bitcoin supposed to deliver learning to their about bitcoin. Thank you
