I am getting strange error at blokchain.info block explorer. When I check some address or tx, result is: " Got error 157 'Unknown error code' from NDBCLUSTER". Is it just me or do you have the same problem checking transactions? ----- Everything seems to be working now. Edit: You can check your balances here: http://blockexplorer.com/ Edit2: It seems that blockchain.info wallet is inaccessible as well. . I suggest no panic at this point as there is no evidence of anything lost. Edit3: mintybit: "anyone can get hacked... I would recomend that people NOT try to login to their wallets during this outtage because if some hacker has got control of the server, he could be trying to harvest your passwords in order to unencrypt your wallet, so just wait it out or make a new wallet and test with that one till it's working again..." Darkpunk: "Their RPC server is down. I'm sure they will be back up in a few hours."

Same thing here.

Buy a TREZOR! Premier BTC hardware wallet. If you're reading this, you should probably buy one if you don't already have one. You'll thank me later.

Hate to cause any sort of panic, but no posts from piuk on here for a week now, and blockchain's twitter feed has been pretty quiet too... Hope everyones got wallet backups...

Same problem here, even when trying to back up my wallet. I'm sure piuk will address the issue soon.

I cannot get to my wallet either. Oops, I am just saying to myself... You should check/backup your wallet first and then post about the problems to this forum.

I keep a bitcoin in a blockchain.info wallet because it has the best mobile wallet and spending from the browser client is convenient.
I imported my private key into Armory though because just in case their web site is down I still want to be able to control those funds.

How do I decrypt AES encrypted wallet backup? It was sent to me (several weeks ago) from blockchain.info by email, but I do not know which key is used for decrypting it.

It should be encrypted with your Blockchain.info password. While I've never tried it, the Multibit client should decrypt and import it for you.

if piuk's code is sound (i believe it is), then as long as you have a backup AND a solid password, even if someone stole their database, it should still not cause a problem... Now if people are using weak passwords then you might want to transfer funds from your blockchain backup wallet to another wallet (Qt, armory, paper, etc.)

What do you mean?
I have my identifier and password. Is that not enough?

No, you would have needed to export your wallet (either encrypted using your blockchain password OR unencryped)... Then you can import those into armory or multibit as someone else suggested.. Not sure if blockchain is still able to email people backup wallets or not, but you may want to try it right now if your in this position.
