It'd be fun, but nothing to be taken too seriously. With machine-assisted chess beating humans in all aspects, nobody smart enough to know this would put much money into such a thing unless playign with someone you trust beforehand.

What about an anti-cheat system similar to lichess and chess.com?

Also, not allowing free accounts would surely help this problem, I would think.

No anti-cheat system for online chess can check whether or not the player is using external devices to input the opponent's moves and receive suggestions.

It's will be fun game especially combine with bitcoin, but it's vulnerable being sabotage, using cheat, ect. People always have many ways to using something such engine machine to earn money.
You know 2048 game? Their just live temporary, because some player using cheat, they do an improvement, but then collapsed.

Algorithms exist to detect computer play, while not perfect I am sure there could exist some way to curb cheating to an acceptable level.

I was actually thinking of implementing something like this. To stop cheating it will have to be a speed game. Each player has 3 minutes total before they run out of turns and the game ends. The game will be over in 6 minutes tops. This way the players barely have time to follow another chess game and input their opponent's moves. Cheating can't be avoided in a chess game unless the players are face to face.

This a well conceived idea, I'm sure people will love it if done well and there is anti-cheat system built into it.

This is very nice idea. People can bet their money on winning against computer or another player. Also their can be varying level of expertise.
You can check for human player by showing captcha at regular intervals !

This won't work. The human is playing the game but enters the opponent's moves in another game against a computer. So the captcha will be solved every time by a human who still copies the moves of a computer.

Then if I encounter exceptionally good player in my online chess game there will be always a possibility that he is cheating. This thought could be unbearable for some people.
And believe me, if there is money on the line people will find a way to cheat and exploit the game. Real Chess for money can only be played in highly monitored environment.

As long as it was fair game then it's a good idea. If ever you can think of a system that can prove that a player is really battling with a human then it's worth to try. That is just the problem since players don't know if the opponent of theirs is really a human.

But you know even it's a legit match between human vs human, there are really lots of chessmasters geek around the globe which can be falsely accused of using a bot or any related cheat system. How's the deal for this?

I was actually looking forward to something like this because I have good FIDE rating and thought I could practice with others remotely because hardly do I get to play with friends during the week and a game every weekend doesn't seem to go down well with me so I'd appreciate your innovation and even make some BTC along side. Great idea!

Lol, seems like some sort of useless idea. Answer please (better to yourself) who will give this btc for players? You, or some sponsor? Or maybe it will be money from pool of other players, like in some championships?
And maybe it will be more easier to be payed in cash?  Smiley
And what your interest in it? Casinos making their money of taking it from their players.
I mean, that i love chess but it's seems useless. Better to use some ordinary chess sites. People, who really love chess playing for fun and impovement their skills and mind, not for money.

Why is this a useless idea? I'm sure there would be quite a lot of people interested if cheating could be prevented.
It's similar to poker and some of the problems are also similar (bots being used), so it seems like something that could be done.

You will probably not be able to prevent cheating 100% of the time, but enough to make most of the experience fair.

People who love chess and don't know nothing about cryptocurrency (85-90 % of polulation on the Earth) will use ordinary chess sites like https://chess24.com/en/play/ (first link that i've got in Google). Or some others sites, where you can be paid for a winning (and it's easier, because you're getting your money in fiat. BTC is excess element in that chain)

I have yet to see any anti-cheat system to detect computer assisted play. Roll Eyes ... The only way this might work, would be to force speed chess.

This way the user will be penalized, while he inputs his opponents moves on a electronic device and waiting for the computer to make the

moves for him. People find ingenious solutions to cheat, so a smaller prize pot, would reduce the incentive to cheat.  Huh

I though that for example Pokerstars had a pretty good system for detecting bots, so why couldn't something like this work for online chess?

I would guess that even in the Bitcoin world, there are people who are interested in playing chess for money.
Granted, it would probably be a niche market, but it doesn't mean that it can't be profitable.
