In a simple way we can say that everyone can became a good investor but not a good trader because the  work of an investor is to invest their money with traders only but the work of trader is to spent your money somewhere from which they get more profit than you on   the basis of their knowledge and technology.this is basic difference between trading and investing.

While you invest your money in something then you loose total control from your funds as your investment will decide your profits and future returns but in trading your action will determine your results as you very well know when to enter or exit and that is the reason why people choose trading over investment.

What do you mean by hope? For pro traders, they dont hope things, they really earn this by analyze everthing and start to make profit.
