Difference of Trading and Investing?

trading is a form of investing.....among other forms.
that statement is 100% when it comes to something like the "stock market" and mostly true for the crypto market.

the main difference here is that many people are forced to "trade" to get their bitcoins or other coins to a point where they can spend them.  this type of fast and hard trading is usually a loss for the trader, but they think of that as money paid to get their FIAT from crypto.

basically investing is the trade of two or more valued mechanisms with the hope of increasing the overall value.  many versions of long term trading might only use two trades or three in the lifetime of the investment, but there is still trading there.  an example would be the investor that bought 1 BTC at $250 a little over a year back and now sells at $1000.  only two trades were made, the investment is more of a "savings bond" kind of thing or the equivalent of buying Walmart or Microsoft stock, but it involves trading. 

there is also fast trading, new market trading, day to day trades, botting and many other ways to do it. 

personally I find that the purest form of "investing" is the purchase of ICO in crypto or IPO in the stock world.  I mean buying these because of a belief in the concept and/or person, versus running the trends.  As an example of buying into an ICO for u-pure reasons, I bought and mined up many of the "poke coin" last year, I bought them because they wear at the perfect time to hit the growing poke go trend. I spent less than a dollar to mine more than 100,000 of them and made $80 in a day, not a huge windfall, but a nice example of the right time/right place investment. 

As a purer investment, I have put a good amount of funds into Burstcoin.  I simply like the POC concept and the way that the coin has been handled by the devs.  I like the simplicity of the poc reward system, the plotting and the mining.  I actually feel the words plot and mine are perfectly appropriate for the way the system works, as opposed to mining other coins.  I am not here to sell the coin, but to say that I "invested" in that coin.  I have given my money to another based upon my belief that they have a good idea and I want to help that happen.  From the stock market, the word "stock" literally came from a long time back and meant to purchase "stock" for a new store owner because you believed they could make a profit or to "stock" a farmer with the needed supplies to make it happen.  I invest for profit, I invest to show support of a business or concept, I invest because I love it.  I want to start an investment platform for young people in high school who have a good future ahead, giving them the fundage to do college or whatever it takes, funding a person because you believe in them.  That type of thing is coming out through crowd funding, but I would like to see it organized and centered on one site or business.

I kept thinking "all dogs are animals, but not all animals are dogs" while I was typing.  it gets confusing for people out there that are just coming into things.  I watch a lot of guys and girls hit the floor here and get massively excited that they bought a coin at 1 sat for a client and now it is 100 sat, only to be completely floored when the investment was so small that the trade fees eat it up, or the client calling and trying to figure why they cannot sell the coin they bought last week.....well, no one is buying that coin...lol.  the best one is when a person hits the website, gets a little info and makes a small profit...so small that they cannot withdraw it from the exchange. 

does anyone have a number for the number of new coins released per day these days?  I mean released and given at least some effort at promotion.  I cannot imagine a new person, not even fully understanding bitcoin itself trying to grasp the massive number of currently traded coins, plus the new coins hitting the market.

During trading, you need to think with your head and make your own decisions. In case of loss, it will not be so offensive, you can learn from your mistakes. During the investment, you do not need to bother with the choice of strategy and the miscalculation of profit options.

Exceptionally you are wrong because for both there is risk involved, because before investing and trading you have to find all possible ways, whether you will make the profit from it or not. But when compared to investment, trading will be in our control.

I agree with you completely. Any investment is a risk because companies whose shares you acquire are operated by other people. There is always the risk that the income of these enterprises will be hidden or the company will go bankrupt.

if you do not want your money in the hands of others you can try trading. because the investment is essentially a trust investment you choose. if you buy the stock then make sure the company is strong and potential

For me trading is better as I cannot be always be dependent on others to make profits and if it fails then I will regretting on my decision so it would be good to have control of funds in our own hands and try to take decision according to the situation around.

Trading is better if you have good analysis or skills when you do it then you can keep on getting good profit. But if you are still newbie or not too good enough you should try to put some on investment, because you will earn coin even without doing anything. And you still can do some trading sometimes. So you are not fully depends on trading to get profit

Trading does not always relate to commodity nowadays, typically trading happens online which you own a stock rights or foreign currency rights. With that being said you have no physical products in hand it is basically an exchange of prices and it depends on your strategy on how you will earn/loss. So in return Trading today is more riskier because of how other users can influence its price depending if they ar shorting or going long.

Yes it should be monitored but not that too complicated and often which you should with trading. Though in trading, it's up to you if you want to be a day trader or long term trader. But in investing, you are getting profit from the source or revenue of that certain investment while in trading you will earn from the markets fluctuation.

i think it is mostly terminology and playing with the words.
in fact when you are trading, you are also investing in something. if is stocks then it is more understandable but the same is with everything else. you get the profit because you have invested in that thing you bought (stock, gold, bitcoin, altcoin) and when you sell you are getting that profit out.
in investing in a company the same thing happens, when they are succeeding they give you profit (same as share price going up) and when they are not successful they give you negative profit (same as share price going down).

Gambling is not a form of investment ,investment means that you are putting money where you expect a certain return and that wont happen with gambling as you really cannot expect any return if you looses it. So trading and investment can be termed together ,it is a form of investment where you trade your money for the best investment .

Yes the gambling will not come under trading and be investing. We can expect some returns in Trading and investing, but in gambling, only investment returns depend on our luck. But Trading and Investing don't have much difference, for both we need good capital, Trading we need market knowledge and Investing we need the patience to make a profit.

In my opinion trading and investment is have differences.Trading is a part of investment method that you can earn money or Bitcoin.Investing is a method that how you make more money or Bitcoin in different investment method.

On literal explanation, you cannot invest if you do not try to buy an altcoins/bitcoin in the exchange platform site. And you cannot trade if no one will try to attempt to buy a coin in the trading platform. But in the end they are good in tandem to make a bitcoin profit actually.

thing smake both different are on the period of collecting profit , trading usually take profit in short term continuously (daily) while investing usually about storing value in the longer time. similar but pretty clear there was some different aspects.

In general, in my opinion, investments can be of different kinds, especially regarding bitcoins. You can invest your money in bitcoin and wait for the increase in prices, and you can invest both bitcoin and other currency both in bitcoin mining and in other projects, while getting to arrive constantly.

The real difference between trading and investment is how you make decisions, when investing you just put your money for a specific amount of time and if you are lucky you get profit, trading you are in control of how you earn you just have to look at the market and find out when the price is going to rise and exchange when it is.
