Sry.. I upgraded with a better and expensive VPS but meh!! they been down for 4-5 h this morning...
They say 99.9% uptime.. so I guess it was just that 0.1% lol.

I added a backup stratum server now.

ports are the same as main pool, but this is completly independent backup stratum in case main pool goes down you will keep mining if you setup a second stratum.

May i suggest you build a page for the blocks with hourly, daily, weekly/monthly trends much like on other pools.
Its easier to look through vs copying all on a spreadsheet and doing the math.
It will be a nice value add to your site..

I was holding VC for a while, then realized there is no point holding too long else its good money in paper & faith.
Its not good until you sell and realize the gains - well at least part of it.

I sold of most of my VC at different levels anticipating a fall as payments realize after 2000 blocks.
Initially I thought this is something that will increase the price of VC since it cannot really be dumped while its mined at the same time.
Please the block reward calculation is unique.. that should help the price I thought..

But that hasn't resulted in any positive movement as such. Think that is only cause of the exchange it is on..!
Its opened an account in coinexchange only to trade VC. I did not find anything interesting there to trade..

There needs to be at least 1 or 2 more exchanges that list VC. For any kind of movement in the prices.
On coinexchange, since the users arent that active you may see sharp ups n downs in the prices but with no volumes - thats no good!!

In the long run, if the currency can be traded easily it will grow.
To make it acceptable, you cannot reach out to only handful of people. You ought to reach many many more individuals.
Whether these people mine or not. The more reach the better chance of acceptance. With acceptance the value/wealth will be UNLOCKED.

Done with my speech.. cannot stress more of the need for more exchanges.. a good coin needs to be accessible too.

Coin is ranked in #22 at coinmarketcap. But i do not see it reflects the current situation & value of coin since it has a "marketcap" of 32,000 BTC ($35 million) but volume in exchange is very low. Not even $1000.

I also think that is reflect of low volume exchange we are not going on the top. Dev need to make some interesting promo campaign to spread the words about this great coin. All team is doing pretty hard work but still have low volume. I will keep supporting this project.

Not selling my coins and that is the reason most of the VC users too not selling their coins as they see this coin as long term value hoping to reach lot higher than what it's currently at. One of the rare coins with lot more stable value, ever after so many months.

Usually the big exchanges has big players that kill coin rates for fun! and a quick buck..

you guys know better though since you've been around for a long time..

price last traded on coinex was 5500 satoshis..  

but yet again without volumnes its hard to say if this can be sustained.
The gap was like almost 3500 satoshis between buyer and seller a few mins back.
glad to see a buyer at 5500 sats. Strong buying at high prices is really gud.. like that..

Well the way it works for VirtualCoin is different.

Lets say you are an investor, you buy 10 BTC worth of Bitcoin & ETH.
You wait & sell when you see 5-7% profit, so your profit will be around 0.5- 0.7 BTC

Here this coinexchange.io exchange sucks due to low trading for any coins, so investors buy VC as high risk/high profit.

Instead of buying 10 BTC, you buy maybe 0.1-0.3 BTC worth of VC & you hold it till VirtualCoin gets listed on well known exchanges.
Now your 0.1-0.3 BTC investment will turn into 1-3 BTC profit easily.

To Sum up this is a Buy & Hold coin, so that is why you see more buying trades then selling trades & due to this price just keep going up everyday since Feb, as most investors are looking for long term.

If their are more buyers price goes up, if their are more sellers price goes down (Universal Law)
