An avalon work abnormal tonight. The fan work aloud for  10 seconds , and silence for 10 seconds , then loop.

After login to openwrt , the hashrate for 5s is 7G only.

There is a green led flashing inside the blue fan. About 5sec, it flash once.

Temp3 reads 45. Fan 2160. 20130410 firmware。

After restart , the green light still flash, but it gone 2 minutes later , and hashing like normal.

Does anyone meet this? Or what's the meaning of the green light?

Thanks!

I have seen the green light come on on mine, but I forget the exact circumstances.

I think it may have been when I had the pool configuration wrong.  I think it may mean that the miner is idle because it has no work to perform.

The light means fpga controller isn't actively working. Either cgminer is idle or crashed or hung. Or the controller is crashed and not handing out work to the ASIC units. It only comes on when cgminer crashes or is killed by watchdog.

Power cycle or fix your pool config.

If it still doesn't work, check USB ports, try different USB port on the hub and check power connections and fan connectors.

That's strange, would have thought the green light meant "money being printed"
