So I just started mining again (I stopped last march)

Currently I am mining with a 7870xt and a 6670. The 7870xt is working great at 400Mhash/s, but the 6670 is only running at 12mhash/s!
I am using TRIXX to control my OC/fan speed. If I change the clock speed on the 6670 +/- 1 or more, it jumps up to 105mhash/s....

Problem two is that the 7870 gets accepts shares like normal, but the 6670 never accepts any shares (at 12mhash or 105mhash). I have tried on slushes pool and eclipse.

Im using GUIminer. I tried CGminer, but it always forced closed and never got it to work.

Anyone have any idea whats going on?

Thanks!

EDIT: I have installed the newest AMD SDK. Running on catalyst 13.3
Checked the GUIminer log... It gets loaded and connected.. but just stays blank

ATI 5xxx and 6xxx work best with different driver versions than 7xxx, so it is best to stick these two series of cards in different machines so you can optimize performance for each.

The earlier cards will work best with 11.6-11.11 Catalyst with RAM underclocked to ~300MHz, the 7xxx cards need newer drivers. Using the newest 13.x drivers will bork OpenCL mining on older cards.

6670 is just a passable card anyway:
480 Stream Processing Units
24 Texture Units

(for reference, it's the card in front:)

Yeah i know the 6670 is meh at best.. it was just laying around so I thought I would slap it in for a small boost.

I was considering buying a 6950 for a very good price.. Are you suggesting that mixing 6xxx and 7xxx will not work on the same machine, or that it just wont work well.
