I was wondering which GPUs would you buy if you had $20,000 to invest in mining equipment and cheap electricity at a flat rate of $0.05/kw

Would you invest in RX480? Or go for 470/460 GPUs?
Would you buy 8GB cards or 4GB cards? (I know that 4GB cards are around 10% slower, but they are 15% cheaper)

Let me know your thoughts

investing in an gpu is for the players who has double purspose. investing on a gpu is for the gamers and at the sametime for the miners. investing on a gpu if your not a gamer whill just end up stocking your gpu for a mining purpose.

if youre not a gamer better invest on a specialized machine where it has to do with mining bitoin. somehow this machine helps you to earn and at the same time has a low rate of electricity bill.

lol I guess you are newby or not minter so please before you write some shit like this again go educate yourself.

@OP Go for RX 470 4GB version. Best value at the moment. As for what basesaw said, better buy GPUs, since when you are done with them there will be someone still wanting to buy them so you will at least make some of your money back in case you fail

Thank you guys for the answer.

I am able to get the 480 4G version for the same price of the 470 4G....

Should I still go with the 470 4G card?

I know this might sound as a stupid question but I see everyone recommending the 470 so I just want to make sure I put my money in the right place.

Cheers

Well if you can get them for same price go for 480 then. Reason why everyone recommend 470 over 480 is because price difference does not justify performance increase of 480. Since in your case price of two cards is the same just go for more powerful one Smiley

If the difference of RX470 and RX480 isn't so big you should get a RX480

and you also got cheap electricity much better option to buy the RX480
its a bit faster but also uses a bit more electricity
