The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Sure, give it a shot if you know how to set it up.

is this safe in a decentralized network kind of ways?
the pool ubiqpool.io have hashing power of more than 80% of all network hashes..

how many confirmation should we wait for a transaction to be considered ok?

i see that the blocks are only generated by ubiqpool

i think the miner should consider to distribute their hashing power to other pools available
Or solo mine.

Please feel free to test our new mining pool.

We want to stabilize the UBIQ-Network.
Therefore we generate our own pool.

We have just 0.25 % fee

yohanip thanks for your concern. In this case it tends to be "OK" since we know that ubiqpool.io isn't malicious but definitely better to share out hash rate.

Most altcoins tend to be focused on 1 or 2 pools this but we are definitely actively encouraging miners to distribute their hash rate. As with having no premine or no ICO, we strive to a higher standard.

This situation has improved and it now looks like this:

At the moment we have 14 pools so thank you miners and volunteer pools for helping to keep the network decentralized!

On a quick note, there is no official mining pool and no one from the dev team runs a pool. This is the best situation and this level of community engagement is what we are striving towards.

Where can I find a list of nodes and their addresses? I am trying to solo mine but many of the blocks come in 2 or 3 at a time so I think I need more peers so blocks get propogated faster.

Hi, Please relay whatever you end up finding out to me, as I am having the same issue. If you find anything else about that, please let me know. I run a small mine  600mhs for now, but I'm adding soon :-)   (lady is not happy about it either)  but, I am considering putting a percentage of my nanos, or some new stuff I'm about to order, on Ubiq. I'm intrigued, glad to be in the thread. Future looks bright...!

Gonna take a minute and do some bomb googling, brb.

Best,
Norman

So far I haven't found anything. Scoured the OP, block explorers, network stats, and github for this info. Problem seems to be getting worse as now I'm getting 2 and 3 blocks at a time more frequently than before, and occasionally 4 blocks before any get imported now. Seems if I do manage to mine any it will just be an orphan.

have you tried the UBQ slack? we have a channel just for miners and i think most people interact wit the community in the slack...I think youll get some quicker feedback and help if you join..

Ehh I don't have slack currently but it looks like I might have to get it. It's the only way to get info for certain other coins too apparently. Was hoping it was just publicly available already.

Coincidentally though I just mined 2 blocks and neither of them were orphans so that's good...but I may have just gotten lucky and still have a higher orphan rate than I should over the longer term. As you can see the time between block imports is pretty inconsistent with several minutes in between sometimes and then getting 2 or 3 at once.
