I am not calling it out as shady or nefarious. I stated that it is seen as non transparent by any outsider not apart of your slack channel. I believe this is stopping others from joining us in the biggest raffle done in bitcointalk history.

Trust me I love nothing more than what you are doing here, I voiced my concern with the last raffle and I see now that you added in the rules that no "BTC equivalent" will be offered. That's a step forward.

With this many bitcoin being collected and in return even more bitcoin being awarded in the raffle you need to follow the rules and have complete transparency or there will not be newcomers or outsiders coming to play with us.

The raffleceptions and banter inside their respective threads would get people hyped up and say.. damn I want to go against these old boys and see if I can snatch up a ticket or two. Instead everyone can see that you guys have an outside means of communication and it just isn't fun enough to get new people coming in.

I hear what you are saying. And I'm taking it to heart.

I apologize again for the feeling this has caused, from the beginning it was just a means of convenience for the ones taking part, nothing more.

Hope to see you in the next one (if there will be a next one).

This raffle is not very transparent at all. Tman now has 8 tickets only yet has asked for 40 tickets throughout the thread. Is this because he could only have won 2 more raffleceptions and been maxed out?

Raffleceptions have been non transparent as when started they go from 0 to filled with 0 txids provided in the posts.

Tman's name was all over the play board. This should have required payment up front (Which the rules clearly state, yet for a day and a half he sat with 40 tickets unpaid..And now 0).

For these reasons I would like my 12 tickets refunded and I may play like Tman and get in through raffleceptions. The two escrow members can contact me for an address.

I don't have a stake in this considering I don't have a ticket, but I did participate in one of the raffleceptions (unsuccessfully) and I'm not sure why you feel it is not transparent.  The raffleceptions are just attempts to pool money for people to get a chance of winning a ticket to this main raffle. Whether the TXID is posted or not, you can simply look at the public address hhampuz provides for the raffleception to see that funds were paid.  In addition, at the end of every raffleception, hhampuz or someone has to provide the 0.06 to get them onto the main raffle, otherwise the money would not be there to purchase the prizes.

However, I do agree that these mini-raffles should not begin unless all participants have paid (regardless of whether they are "good for it" based on their reputation).  I also think that for the main raffle, nobody should get their name listed on a spot as reserved if they haven't paid, which appears to now be the case.

At the end of the day, while there is always room for improvement, I think this raffle is being administered in a very transparent way.  There are trusted members who are holding the funds in a multi-sig address to prevent any sort of scam, multiple coin makers and other collectors helping to sponsor prizes, and raffleceptions that help serve as inexpensive on-ramps for people who only want to risk a fraction of the ticket price.  The amount of work involved in organizing this seems to be pretty significant with very little overhead, and I think hhampuz deserves a lot credit for that.

Thank you very much for the kind words. I do know that it might not have been administrated to the absolute best. And from here on out I will wait for everyone to pay and post until I spin the wheels.

And I have never set out to do this for money, at the end of the raffle I might make 0.1-0.2 BTC in total, compared to the tens of hours that I put in to this it feels more than fair.

I'll definitely work on becoming more transparent, and everything else in other aspects as well. The first one was a learning curve, this one continues to teach me as well. Perhaps in a near future everything will have been accounted for and there is full trust in my ability to host these raffles. I do it for the community, as I do love it so much.

Thanks again hybridsole Smiley.

Amazing day today!

We are now down the final 126 tickets. The raffleceptions have been working wonders! Some fun facts: We have raised a total of 2.76BTC with these raffleceptions. That's 46 tickets! That's so cool.

Tomorrow should be good, the raffleceptions will continue and I'll start marketing the raffle all over. Remember to tell your friends about it, we want this rolling soon! Perhaps a Sunday Draw can happen? Who is up for winning a cool 7+BTCprize?

Keep on keeping on guys. And thank you all for the support Smiley

Hhampuz quick question.  If a person wins can they select the lot they want or is each block going to have a specified prize?

75 tickets left!

As we are closing in on getting this rolling, I'd love to hear what you, the community thinks. Do you have any suggestions on what could have been different, what could have been added or removed.

Last but not least, if you have doubts about joining in, please let me know why. I'm always up for improvements, especially if this were to become a reoccurring event Smiley.

Do you mean if they are funded? If so, The coins from BTCC are funded with freshly minted bitcoins that they have mined themselves and put on the coins instantly Smiley.

The Cas coin in the 2nd prize is also funded with 1BTC. As well as all of the Denarium coins being funded Smiley.
