In today's democratic countries, the of bitcoin is even more than in the non-democratic countries.
Good thing about btc is that it is for everyone and you own your bitcoin, privacy in today's day of age is important so bitcoin also provide at least some of that financially.

I live in a democracy country, but the government do not support bitcoin to be legal currency, but it is not banned too. and I see some people still use bitcoin as an investment because there are not many things to buy with.

I think that privacy is an important feature bitcoin can offer because there are certain cases of people that need it when dealing with money. Few example of use cases in which bitcoin really is the most convenient and perhaps reliable alternative to use would include controversial figures relying on donations for their work (because conventional payment channels may shut them down even after unsubstantiated reports) or people might be to scared to donate if their anonymity is at stake.
