After Unplug reset, the device is back to normal at 150MHz but again stops within 20-30 minutes of work showing it's active but disabled..
How do I adjust the pot meter?

I did adjust the voltage, even the Mac given error saying the USB device is drawing too much power, then after several adjustments the Stickminer a longer stable and no Mac USB Error.. but doesn't stay much and all of the sudden shows OFFSegment Fault: 11

is this a heat issue or am I doing something wrong?

Stop running it at 150MHz then. You've probably overloaded the jack.

give the miner more power using a powered hub.

Which reminds me again why I've always hated doing other people's homework.

Your mac does not have enough power to run this.  GO BUY A GOOD QUALITY POWERED USB HUB.
And don't run above 100Mhz unless you have a good fan figured out.

I bought two 2PACs a couple of months ago and have been running them on a Raspberry Pi 3, with a powered USB hub and a cooling fan.  This morning all was fine, then they weren't running.

I checked my power connections, updated and upgraded my Pi, read through these forums, update cgminer and MAKE'd it again. 

Now, one of them is running and the other is not.  The light is green.  I tried adjusting the potentiometer a bit, tried different USB ports but there is no change.

The terminal cgminer readout showes the stick is seen, but is OFF.   

Any idea if this is a set up issue that I can troubleshoot...and how?
Or a stick problem?

There are plenty of options, READ... you don't even need to go to far back.

That´s very odd. If they worked it shouldn´t be a usual issue like to less power. Is it always the same stick, that isn´t working? Died you try this one alone in the hub? What happens if you switch the OFF stick to ON inside the cgminer usb options?
What setup are you running, or were you running before it crashed? What frequency? Did you use cooling?

Hi, I hope someone can help me with getting some decent hashes out of my miners.
I started off with 2 x 2 pacs which I had no problem with. So bought a few more from eyeboot.com along with USB hub https://www.eyeboot.com/block-erupter-49-port-usb.html with 500w ATX power supply.
I don't wish to overclock just to hopefully get 10-12 GH from each miner.
I have tried using Y cables to no avail.
The more miners I put into the USB hub the worse the performance of the miners.
I'm running win10 as you can see below I'm averaging 3-4 GH per miner, this is after running for about 20mins. Some will Zombie out after a while.
I've got some other screen shots but have no idea how to upload.

Try testing with incrementally more and more sticks. See how many you can get to run at rated speed before adding another one starts slowing things down.

Could be what's happening (though it's unlikely) is your power sucks. Or it's your USB bus isn't able to support enough traffic. Or it could be yet another "Windows 10 blows goats and you should use something different" problem, because Windows 10 blows goats and you should use something different. Not just for 2Pacs, I mean, in general. For everything.

I slightly recall someone having that issue before and overcame it by starting up separate instances of cgminer.exe.

Possibly a cgminer+windows quirk.

First, grab the latest build of cgminer from the first post (Feb 10, 2018 @ 4a3f595).
Then start up with the extra parameter "--usb :2"

Slowly increase that 2 up until performance start decreasing then run cgminer.exe in another window, same parameters.

Thanks for all the help Sidehack, vh & goose1072 --usb :1 parameter does the trick.
I can now monitor miners and restart if I don't have any of the 26 working.

This made me almost shoot soda out my nose. I work with Windows 10 every day, and I couldn't agree more. Thank you for the blunt, but hilarious advice.

At the moment my miners are all connected to an Ubuntu system I picked up for dirt cheap. It's possible to be a newbie, get a Linux system up and running, and then walk away for weeks without issues. Just check it occasionally to make sure all is ok.

I have been using two GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminers for about two months now on a Raspberry Pi, and recently purchased two more, plus a 5-amp 10-port USB 2.0 hub, however...

I can only seem to recognize a maximum of two miners simultaneously, on the 10 port hub.

If I set up a second powered hub (the original one that I have been using all along), I can get three out of four operational, at the same time. This particular hub has the ports positioned too closely to connect more than two stick miners, simultaneously.

Are there any tips/tricks I might try, to get all three miners working, on the 10 port hub?

Also, unrelated: One of the two new miners lights up bright white, and won't recognize at all...Upon close inspection, one of the chip components appears to be mis-aligned...I will probably attempt to exchange it with the vendor for a new one.

Edit: the miner that appeared dead spontaneously woke up, and now appears to be functioning normally...go figure...
