Pen & Ink Art Wallets – “Transition of Power” Series

Get an original drawing and commemorate the price of bitcoin on today’s date. These art wallets are perfect for birthday gifts or to start a collection that chronicles the price of bitcoin (and the decline of the dollar) over time. For this series, there will never be more than 10 made for a particular date and, once a date passes, I will do no more for that date.

Each Art Wallet contains an unfunded bitcoin address and corresponding private key. Pre-orders for future dates are accepted.

Each piece is 8” x 10” on acid free paper with archival ink. Suitable for framing or display in a coffee table binder.

Price: $100 via cash in the mail or bitcoin, of course. :-)

Repurchase Policy: The Bitcoin Mint (BitcoinMint.com) will buy back this original artwork at any time for $100 U.S. Dollars (or $100 worth of bitcoin at the time of tender). The piece must be in good condition with the holographic seal undisturbed.

These can be purchased at http://BitcoinMint.com

https://bitcoinmint.com/art-wallets/

How these pieces are created:

1. An unfinished master is created by hand-drawing the $100 Bill in black pencil/ink (with parts left unfinished).

2. This is then reproduced at a professional printer.

3. These drawings are then hand-finished with additional black work, colored pens and pencils.

4. Signatures are added to the face of the bill.

5. The date, bitcoin exchange value, hologram & bitcoin keys are added below the drawing.

6. Once everything is complete, I add my final signature to the right of the bill.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I think having the buy back option is really cool. But doesn't that mean it could never appreciate/depreciate over under $100 if you will always have these for sale?

Edit: how would these art works be shipped? Would you ever consider doing it on a hemp paper? What if I laminated it, would you still buy it back?

There are a limited number created for each calendar day and each one is unique in multiple ways. The buy-back just creates a "floor" price so it can never drop below that. It also creates some interesting possibilities as a tradeable asset.

They are shipped securely in a photo mailer and will be replaced if damaged. Yes, we will buy it back if it is laminated. :-)

EDIT: I just saw the question about hemp paper. I think that's a great idea. I will put that on the list for future pieces.

Each one is unique in multiple ways - they are each one-of-a-kind with a common theme. No more than 5 to 10 per day and will likely change over time to keep them interesting.

This looks pretty decent, although I'm certain that the market is rather limited. It would be nice to have it laminated and hanged somewhere, but storing these types of collectibles is always problematic. Good luck with your sales!

Thanks! A coffee table binder would be a good place to display a collection that showed the price change ("transition of power") over time.

I've just posted 3 pieces for today's date (Jan. 28, 2017).

These have some additional colorization and they do not have the "error" that was in both the 26th & 27th pieces. Can you see the difference? First one to point out the error gets a FREE, Limited Edition Medallion (#58). Each piece is slightly different but there is only one error I am looking for. Post your guess below.

Today's Releases:

#2 of 3:

#3 of 3:

Enjoy!

Error is the serial number has 5 digits to the right of the decimal for the 26th.
The ones from the 28th have only 4.......

Good guess, but not the one I'm looking for...keep trying!  Smiley

Error guess #2.

The hologram is now serialized.

Good guess but, still not the one I'm looking for... Huh

Is it that one piece has 0.1088, whereas the other two only have 0.108?

Good guess, but not the one I'm looking for. Here is another clue: The 26th & 27th pieces are missing something that the 28th has...

Attempt #2 from me: Is it this small detail? It doesn't seem to be in either the 26th or 27th, but on the 28th.

These are pretty neat but I'll hold out for a doodle that holds a bit more interest for me.

Assuming they aren't all going to be USD notes Tongue
