Anyone knows how to unlock Icloud?

My sisters phone can't download apps at the moment because it requires the password of the icloud which is linked in here iphone 5c. The icloud was my moms' and she said she already forgot the password for it so we can't access it. Is there a way to turn it off or maybe replace it? I manahed to chane the icloud on my ipad long ago but with here iphone I can't figure out how. I tried restoring it in itunes but it's giving me an error and I can't continue in restoring.

Can you reset it while it's in DFU mode? I believe that works

If you forgot the password you should send your phone to a service shop. They will ask a fee for unblocking the icloud. 5c is an old phone so should be easy to fix.

can you send me a pm on what ios its running and what email domain and restoring with new ios without password will get your phone icloud locked

If she can remember the email she can request for a new Password via email of the icloud account or you can visit officialiphoneunlock.co.uk and you can get the phone unlocked there.
