i have increased my hash rates by copying lower straps to higher strap fields

I change my gpu clocks and memory clocks to get fantastic results (30.7mhs rx480 and 27.8mhs for rx470)

however when I put my rigs together and change memory clock and gpy clock to the same as when i tested them individually then my hash rates go all over the place

any advice?

I apologize if this was answered elsewhere

cheers

please post some numbers about your hash rate ... how many gpu in the rig, are u using powered risers ?
full system spec can help also Smiley

windows 10
celeron
8gb ram

i have 2x rx480 and 2x rx470 on this rig to make the 4 cards

the rx480s:
mem clock 2200
gpu clock 1266
30.7mhs stable hash rate

the rx470s
mem clock 1950
gpu clock 1216
27.6mhs stable hash rate

however those hash rates are only when individually tested

when i connect all 4 cards at once and start chaning mem clocks and gpu clocks to these exact same figures then my hash rates range from, 24-10mhs

Are You using powered risers , or the cards plugged in to the motherboard ?
Vga cards have 4 or 8 GB of memory ?
What motherboard are you using  ?
What PSU are you using for this setup ?

May be little power PSU. Try reinstalling  driver. Remove old driver with Display Driver Uninstaller(DDU).

rx480s are 8gb rx470s are 4gb
mobo and psu are fine because i have multiple rigs with the same gear working perfectly
i am using risers

please help guys

my main problem is that individually when i change mem clock the cards increase but as soon as i try to alter more than one cards memory clock on trixx then my hash rates for every card after the first card dont work properly

I empirically discovered that multiple cards modded with exactly same GPU and MEMORY clock work better when put together.
I would suggest to set the lower supported GPU and memory clock and try if something improves

i have since taken out my rx480s so the rig consists of 2x rx470s

same problem though

only one has an increase in speed when altering memory clock

when i try to change the memory clock of the second exact same card to the exact same memory clock as the first card..... no results to hashrate or negative results to hash rate, i have tried using lower memory clock speed s with no luck, keep in mind the other card is going great at the same clock (and its the exact same card)

Find a common minimum for the two RX 470's and a common minimum for the two RX 480's that they are stable at individually. Then, use a third party tool like watttool to set the clocks instead of using wattman.
Also, try to lower core/mem clocks by 50/50 each and check stability, repeat till stable.

I have done all of this, I am using trixx

the cards are 100% stable individually but i cannot get more than 1 card to increase in hash rate **cries

I think we need more screenshots with temperature, clocks and gpu/mem loading monitoring. Can you share some? I prefer MSI Afteburner or GPU-Z for this.
