I think that is an error. Firstly i dont think the Bitcoin network and infrastructure could support that many confirmations over so little time.
Secondly How big was your fee  Shocked

It can't be anything other than just some bug in coinbase wallet. I have seen such bug before also, that's why i don't use them quite often  Grin

It's obviously just a bug. I've been seeing a lot more issues with coinbase lately so I'd suggest everyone stay way the hell away from them. Shit is going to hit the fan soon.

by the time i am typing this there has been 450514 blocks mined so there can only be that many confirmation (minus 1 because of genesis i think) and you have to be the first transaction in bitcoin blockchain Cheesy

this is a bug they report because of the unconfirmed status of your transaction, it may be an arithmetic overflow so it goes over reporting at the other end. like assigning 2,147,483,647+1 to Int32

It's a bug, and it has been around for a very long time (at least a few months). I reported it to them when I first noticed it a few months ago, but clearly nothing has been done. Originally I thought it was because their block explorer, blockr.io, was having issues, but that is apparently not the case as blockr.io does not have the same problems.

Hey man. I don't know what Coinbase is referring to with that "##### Confirmations", but if you click on it you'll see the actual transaction which will tell you the actual number of transactions required. And I'll be you that BTC0.005 that it's 100 or fewer transactions (probably much fewer).

Coinbase has some some separate meaning about it - and it's certainly confusing. If Coinbase is giving you hell, talk to me about another option.

It's now clear that you have to pay more for quicker transactions so if you got delayed I think it's a call for you to pay more next time. I'm strongly against that principle and would do anything within my power to help keep Bitcoin fees at negligibly low.

Dude, do you read others' posts before posting your unneeded spam that barely qualifies as a post? Do so from next time, thanks.

Yeah, I figured it was some sort of DB error or something that caused this to happen.  Was mainly curious if others have the same sort of errors happen to them now and then.
