Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Well , you can lot of money with trading bitcoin , the step is very simple "buy low , sell high "
Also other cryptocurrencies like eth , zcash etc are a good investment . For example I had 5 ETH in my ethereum wallet some months ago . At that time 1 ETH was 40$ , actually is 90$ . So Yeah I got a good profit Smiley

Simple idea, plenty of people doing it. You see some stagnant coin's price fluctuate a bit every day, it's all due to daytraders. Takes nerves of steel and standing in front of the PC screen all day IMO and I don't think it's worth it for most people.
