I don't think theymos wants reporting to be competitive to the extent that people report posts to increase their report count.
I think a futher incentive to make good, valid reports can only benefit the forum, and IIRC you had a similar opinion a while back.
We might disagree on what kind of incentive that is, at this point, I'd probably take anything.
Making reporting stats public on a regular basis also opens up the potential for people making complaints along the lines of 'hilariousandco' was made staff after 3,000 reports but I have 4,000 reports and should be made a mod (or my friend who I want in power has 4,000 reports and should be made a mod).
People complain about a lot of things, nobody would take stuff like that serious, would they?
Besides, we're already keeping track of the reporting stats in a meta thread, it would only ease up the process to get regular updates from the forum itself rather than doing it this way.
Oh and...shorena has close to (or even over) 11k reports, he should be made a mod.
