Bitfloor
BTC-e
BitStamp

...and many more, those above do volumes useful enough for most mortals

Not that we don't need even more exchanges... we DO. I'd like to see six or eight solid exchanges that compete over userbase with fee plans and demonstrations of resilience. Just like windows gets all the viruses, Gox is also a pile of crap. (Doesn't help that Windows is poorly written and, it seems, so probably is Gox.) If we spread it out more evenly that would help some...

Just leave mtgox. There are plenty of alternatives. They only have 80% of the volume because suckers stay there.

But their main page says:

" RELIABLE

We're always on. Buy and sell Bitcoin 24/7/365 with the world's most sophisticated trading platform."

It's in black and white... unless this is February 29th, they are full of it Wink

they have 2-factor authentication, Mccafee security cert, and a lot more.

only deals with BTC, but looks rock-solid

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461
No longer a wannabe - now an ASIC owner!
