I was mining pascal through nanopool with thier modified amd miner and it has many issues but the big one is my psu problem because of this miner ,if the miner is closing the connection for a sec and then reconnect like what happened with me then close it immediatly it will make a big problem with your psu like it did to mine this loading and unloading of the miner will f**kup the psu specially if you have multi gpu system drawing alot of watts , now my rig is just cutoff (like if there a power outage) every 30 mins or more so take care.

That has nothing to do with Nanopool - Pascal draws far more power than Eth or XMR, or even ZCash. You didn't account for what your GPUs could actually draw when buying your PSU, and now it's failing because of it.
My psu is far on the safe side i am using 3rx 470 and 850w psu i am electrical engineer and that was the easiest part when i was setting up my rig Smiley .
I only want to warn the ppl if the miner is doing the same setting connection 0 problem with someone else thats it good luck

Lets make it clear if you think that your mining experience will make you a hardware expert then u are just a noob too, ppl like you who was doing mining at 90 degrees gpus getting up from bed everyday hopping thier rigs are still alive are no experts.....caution is safe

x2 on this, you should only load up your PSU with 80% of its power capability. If you need 800 watts of power at the wall to power something, you should have no less than a 1000w watt PSU and I would recommend going the extra step and getting an 1100 just incase your temps aren't ideal.

Based upon your report, you have PSU issues either due to quality of the PSU or capacity, or both.

I mined Pascal many months ago with multi-GPU Nvidia Rigs and didn't have any issues with the miner but I follow the "extra step" rule I outlined above. If I need 1200w, I'll put in a 1600W PSU minimum. Costs more but it results in less headaches, time wasted, and hardware wear and tear.

My psu is far on the safe side i am using 3rx 470 and 850w psu i am electrical engineer and that was the easiest part when i was setting up my rig Smiley .

an OC'd 470 can pull 120W so if you assume that you're at 360W there alone, If you're CPU mining on top of this, you could easily pull another 120W depending on the CPU and clock speed. Then add in your system fans...and another other components you are powering... Following the 80% rule you got 680W of power to play with. I would recommend doing some at the wall tests to see where you are.

Also, you may have just had a PSU fail, we've all had them crap out before for no reason... Have you investigated this possibility?

What kind of temperature is your environment? The hotter the environment the less efficient the PSU is going to run and and all the above math changes.

how da fuck do you know my gpu's temp? and what it had to do with your inability to construct realiable mining rigs?

in what 3-rd world country are you "electrical engineer"?

You have a shit quality PSU if some fluctuation kills it. Its advertised capacity also doesn't have to do with its build quality and since you didn't mention any brand or model, just its capacity, I assume you went with a cheap one.

My gpus are running 42,40,38 degrees no OC 50% fan my psu is not all dead i just said it cutoff power every 30-60 mins after 2 days of pascal mining, i was going for zcash for about 2 months now without any problems.
In case of hardware comptability and specially psu loading limits i know it very well thats my job i made my rig with a good triangler spacing between gpus for best air flow and it worked as you can see from the gpus temp
By the way my psu is crossair cs850
Now i think maybe it's a drivers kind of problem so i will check it out.

I have a bunch of EVGA Supernova G2 1300W PSUs some of which are working perfectly fine for 3 years now. Silent and only slightly warm at 1kW load.

There's a good reason why they sell these with 10 years of warranty. Some of their lower capacity (~500-650W) models are not that good though.

A cheaper option would be to modify some server PSUs but that requires a bit of work which shouldn't be a problem for an electrical engineer.

By the way my psu is crossair cs850

Decent unit for consumers with undemanding systems... not so much for 24/7 crypto mining. It may be shutting down due to overtemp protection, depending where you have it located. Go for something at least rated at 50 degrees at full power... staying with Corsair, the RMx, AX, and HX lines would be my suggestion.

Well  I have had 70 mobos  maybe 85 mining on and off since 2011.

3 mobos were weird 2 were evga 1 was an asrock.   They would turn off  every 6 hours.  No matter what

 gpu or psu I used.

But any mining on them with a gpu and they turned off.

I have had  psu's age and fail.  Or work with 3 gpus  add a fourth gpu and they would power off after 30-45 minutes.

My suggestion is switch to this psu

https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-RM1000x-Modular-Supply-Certified/dp/B015YEI7LK/ref=sr_1_2?

price is good amazon has a good return policy

I good get into hours of WTF is wrong with a rig.  But I have seen 100% identical rigs with 100% identical settings  behave differently.

read this review and the reviewer goes into detail how 1 psu behaves different from an identical psu

BTW  I got one of these on sale based on his review I am very happy with it driving my pandaminer (custom 8 card rig)

That I reviewed. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1733723.0
