Hello, friends! I just want to present my first bitcoin website - http://bitsweep.orgIt's based on Block.io API and the mission of the site is fast bitcoin sweep. You can sweep bitcoins in seconds. Just enter in the site from any device, put information in the form, press the button and you are done! It's easy like 1, 2, 3! The service is absolutely free and secure. The site using SSL and this API: https://github.com/BlockIo/block_io-php/blob/master/examples/sweeper.phpEnjoy!Donations: 1Mav2no3RYjfrofoFLaThGZqZ9w7NwGpTb

The design is nice and sleek, but if why would one use your service? Most wallets support this feature, so I find it unnecessary and unsafe sweeping on an external site (site launched by a newbie doesn't get trust here). I think you'd do better using your coding skills (as I mentioned earlier, the site design is very pleasing). And I'd say the vast majority (almost 100%) of people who use paper wallets or other means of cold storage do it for safety and security reasons.

For a second there I thought it was another Bitcoin minesweeper game. Good job making this, keep learning their API, maybe some day we could work together.

It goes without saying that no matter how cool this is - one should never put a private key into a browser.
Whilst your intentions are probably well meaning - please no one actually use this site unless you are able to personally verify the source code.

Correct.Do you mind making it open-soruce since the service is free anyway ? Who knows if at the back-end the private key is actually being stored and before coins are sent to the new address it goes to one of yours ?

You are right! I must publish my source code. I will do it in the next days. Also I think can't replace your destination address. I just use responsive template, Block.io API and some PHP functions for validation of the address. (I use it to save the request to Block.io server) I hope someone to use the service and share feedback here. I made it for the Bitcoin Community and my portfolio. Cheers!

No one should ever under any circumstances paste their private key into a website. That is a horrible idea. This could very well be an attempt to scam btc. bitsweep.org, sweeping btc from my wallet to his!!!!

Giving a private key to strangers is just like give your money freely. There's possibly to have back door or modify the code, we don't know, or the site will go down because ddos attack, ect which it's real happens or it's just OP scenario. Be careful to kind of service like this, I and other member of course wouldn't recommend it.

As others have posted, private keys are never meant to be handled online unless being redeemed. Even then, people would only sweep wallets with smaller amounts and using sites that have a high reputation. As it stands almost every BTC wallet client allows for you to sweep addresses (and if I remember correctly, Blockchain.info also have this feature) so why would people use your site over any of the alternatives that have been working flawlessly for some time now?

No source and coming from a newbie account isn't very reassuring. Kinda reminds me of https://github.com/coinables/sweepkey/blob/master/app.js The sweepkey nodejs service above runs off public API endpoints (no api key) so users can just copy the repo and run it locally on their own machine. No trust required.

Actually if we are using the address from where we will be sending out bitcoin just once, than there may not be any problem in just pasting our private key in your site but pasting private key of our personal bitcoin address may lead to different problem in future related to personal privacy as well as any bitcoin that we will receive in future may get directed to another address.

Yeah, this can happen hypothetical, but it can happen in any another site, application and wallet too. Maybe you don't use or you never used web based wallet? When you send your coins from Blockchain.info wallet they can to replace destination address. Of course these are all hypotheses! Cheers

I can't see any point in your service other than it being a web wallet? seems like you are trying to mislead people by using a name other than web wallet, and since this wont go anywhere unless the user has some sort of mental issues or point blank re*ard, you know that no one will use your service yet insisting . Had the same feeling at first, I was like ugh--? This isnt minesweeper! But it seems that most wallets are already have this within them, or most new wallets for that matter. I also wouldn't feel safe in the least putting my private key into your un-SSL secure site and all that.

Almost every wallet out there you can sweep wallets in, without compromising the security of your private keys (putting them in a website, such as yours here).
