^^ Since we're rapidly approaching the "point-of-no-ROI", there's little interest in investing several thousand USD's on half-a-miner. However, if you were to release a smaller device based on 2 of your module PCBs, giving us a much more affordable ~5.4GH/s device, there would probably be a higher interest. The additional effort for such a device would be minimal, and DIY guys could always expand upon it, using the same controller module.

^^ I think interest has been gauged already! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177386.msg1876668#msg1876668But i think the difficulty and roi has to be taken into consideration more than any other batch! .

Please stop crying a river. How many times do you have to tell about your "horror story"? Yes, it is terrible that you have to spend some extra fees last month to buy your bitcoins at half the price as it is today. Spent 4% fee to gain 100%? Wow, that's really awful. I feel really sorry for you! I can't imagine how depress you will be if you were only getting 50% return per month! Takin orders in a week? two weeks? three? Even approximate .. Dont want to buy btc only to realize there wont be a roi or worse yet find out there wont be a roi and btc price drops and you loose youre fiat too!!
I lost $235 just in fees moving 6k to an exchange to buy btc in hopes of purchasing an avalon last time, and since i was unsuccessful the thought of just throwing more money away for nothing makes me sick!
aghh... Im need ta go pet a dragon & see if i can get us some luck. Hopefully avalon is having some luck of their own with batch 2/3 shipping and they can spread the love to batch 4 customers..

^^ so you think he's right but you just happen to be wading in an avalon miner thread.. i find that funny..
If you dont want hamburgers stay away from McDonalds... Dont come to Mcdonalds yapping about youre vegetarian mubo jumbo or how everyone should eat falafel's ..
We are "here" because we want an avalon miner like the thread says.. Everyone else should kick rocks.. that evidently includes you!

That's borderline racist comment, and I hope you realize that.

That's borderline racist comment, and I hope you realize that. It was just an example .. it had nothing to do with race nor do i understand how you see it as such. If you were offended by it .. my apology's!

it was a suggestion that the ASIC ROI is fading over horizon and perhaps it would be best to mine the fees for converting $$$ to bitcoins with all the trouble there is there
I have Avalon chips on order and would be interested in a batch 4 too but nothing wrong with pointing out that making money is going to get out of reach soon with mining but there are more ways to make money with bitcoin
and yes, that guy's comments were funny.. you are too serious!!

I think the main question here is how/if the pricing scheme will change. Situation is rapidly changing and hopefully BitSyncom will take this into consideration when forming the price.

lol, honestly i still dont get it!! Im a lil dense sometimes so i get my sheldon cooper on a bit but man.. If i really offended him in that way i didnt wanna pour more salt on it so to speak.. so i just apologized and let it go.. Are falafel's associated with a race?? I dont even want to know at this point.. Ironically im actually a vegetarian ... LOL Anyway say what ya want .. but racist im not. Moving along.. here's hoping we get good pricing on the Avalons we are all here for. /

it's a real pity that BitSyncom doesn't comment on delivery status of batch 2 and 3 and eminently the scheduling of batch 4

to shred some light, the model is already made, as we have many prototypes and designs in house, it was a matter of if there's enough demand to warrant a batch.
If not, it'll just get made in a later timeline, for next generation for example.
What would be the price for something like this? Is it under $5000?
