Reaching a new all time high is great of course when you cash out profits, but it's basically worthless when we fall back to sub $1000 prices after that again. It's time for the price to settle above the $1000 level now margin trading in China has been shut down. In best scenario it will result in more sustainable prices in the long term, but as it is right now, I prefer to see it first before I actually believe in it. Because no matter what happens, Bitcoin is and will remain an unpredictable market.

The price would have *never* crashed as hard as an natural correction, it crashed to low 750$'s because of the stupid ass Public Bank of China's statements, which caused panic sell. If that never happened, we would have had a smaller correction and we would be at 1,500+ already. But who cares, thanks to PBOC the smart people bought more cheap BTC and now we are inevitable going for a new ATH.

i agree with the first part of your statement that we wouldn't have seen $750ish as bottom of the correction if it wasn't because of FUD and whales manipulation, but it was a good chance for us who saw this to fill our wallets once again with cheap coins.
also i disagree with $1500 because not going down doesn't mean we go up a lot more. it would have still taken time to get there.

We have some amazing news Bitcoin crossed $1000 threshold in China and Korea, and India seeks to penalize cash again in search better tax revenue.
This time we might have higher, more stable and totally organic (without Chinese margin trading bubble) bitcoin's price.

it was close for breaking $1000 for now and its only a matter of time we can see this and i am sure that the price will break soon. its good to see that finally this day we see that the price is going to increase after there is down and up in the market. i hope after we break $1000, the bitcoin price will stable for a moment and the altcoin will increase too and after that the price will increase more .

I think even after the $1000 price has been broken we can still see $9xx price too, it mainly depends on how much price is going up and how much panic sellers we will get after the rise.

- we can see $1050 for example and then go down to $990 and up and down between that and $1020 for a while

- or we can see $1100+ again and only come down to what OP is predicting, meaning the a above $1000 fluctuation and becoming stable there.

the price has starting climb up since several days ago indeed the movement was very slow but at least probably next peak $1000 will be breaks but i just worry if the price reach $1000 or above then people will starting to sells their bitcoin and stopping buys

i expect $1000 soon be broken again mostly because of the FOMO that happens after the initial rise, and eventually an stable price above $1000.

based on its current price I can also think that the value would rise back again sooner or later, the current price is very closed to you expected price and it keeps on increasing slightly so i think it could be an indication that this time the value would have an increase . I am also hoping that the price would go up again and become lightly stable to $1000 .

While I am typing this reply now on this thread, 988.0 US Dollars was the current price of bitcoin according to preev and all I can say is that it might still continue to rise and might stabilize to 1000$ above. I really do hope that this steady rise and correction will go on but there will be a time where it will stop but no one can really tell when so I hope that this price ranges last in my opinion it will last until april or somewhere around that.

and about the day traders i have to say they are not waiting for a particular price to sell, that would be foolish. as a day trader you always have a certain percentage profit in your mind, and sell/buy at those prices. it is always buy in dip sell on highs.
and also when price is rising like this, usually they increase the percentage and wait to see where is the high. again not having a particular number in mind.

At some point $1000 (or even more in the future) will be standard floor ceiling for bitcoin's price. Bitcoin is expected to go far, far higher than that.

Yes, I agree with this. Bitcoin can hypothetically stabilize around $1k but if we think about the beginning of huge general unstability of our civilization (Trump, Putin, ISIS) and add people not having enough faith in bitcoin I think we'll need some time to see that. I think it is really good for now if it becomes stable around $900 for now.

Actually I have never seen such a psychological barrier at $1000. The price has never struggled to break that price when a new rally occurs, and even I have identified a strongest psychological level at $800 or even $1,100. It is true that to see many zeros is always attractive, but markets don't have reacted in any way to that figure.

Quite possible for this scenario, we finally have price over 1000 on most of the exchanges and to see stable price for the moment.
I also expect to see new high in this run but it might be bad scenario like some say here we might go down after that again.
