I never really believe in superstition so I don't think that it would have an effect in gambling,if you're going to lose you will lose it's just about the luck and your skill.

Moreover, fear has an unexpected way of becoming true. Superstitions do work for many people and you will definitely come across such examples in your life.

I am sure every player wants to win and every player believes he will be lucky to win, I just don't see how faith and superstitions fits in gambling.
Can you explain how superstition is working for you? I don't think you are winning all the time and still you believe in superstition.

I just wanna know if you guys are supertitious when playing or gambling?

I will admit I'm very supertitious when going to a land based casino.
1. I choose the number of parking slot that I will park. Usually it should have my favorite number 111,777 etc.
2. I don't want to wait for someone if he or she is going to go with in the casino.
3. I wear the same shirt that I won big.

Superstitious is not that bad but making it too much is not already good. Those wearing same shirt, wearing same shoes, wearing same pants is not bad but make sure you do washing before wear it again because some superstitious gambler didn't wash their clothes when they won because they tell that if you wash it the luck will wash away too. Lol. Haha

We are just humans, we need something to believe in or we would know that we don't exist. It explains a lot just to believe in it and you can't blame people for that. It's respect that people need, not hatred on other beliefs. If you think it could help you win in gambling then that's fine.

Superstitious is not that bad but making it too much is not already good. LOL mate... yeah I think it's not bad to follow superstitions they actually like a guide in the past to let us stay away from unfortunate things that might happen. But sometimes if you follow it by the book and apply it in gambling sometimes it cause you some trouble and lose some money. so it's up to you on how your going to deal with superstitions or just don't apply it in gambling.

I used to be superstitious many times when gambling and had even a lucky charm that was a ring I though brought be luck. Until I realized that it was all in my mind when I won thinking I had the ring and then realized I didn't. So really it is all a state of mind, strategy and concentration.

If you think they are effective enough, it will become effective and you said it right that it's about the state of your mind and concentration. And if you are concentrated that it will be effective then so be it and you will bear it to your mind that superstitions are real and amazing. But don't bother others that will make fun of you about these type of beliefs.

It's alright to believe in superstitious but we have to be more realistic and always improve our method in order to finally be consistent in winning.
We should focus only on things that we have to improve and choose the game that we think we have the advantage to win because if not, in the long run we will feel pain of losing since lot of efforts has already been exerted but will still result to a lose.

This is a fact that the whole game of gambling depends upon the luck of the person who has bet some precious amount from his savings so as to double it by winning in poker or dice games. The reason for this unbelief is that there is no actual fact to support it.  People cannot explain how they say that that thing happen.  Nor any supporting documents that these superstition is true.  Science see it as a concept created by human mind when something happen and they cannot explain it nor to prove that it actually existed.  This goes with luck too.

For me, there is no need to show actual facts if you believe in superstitions. It is all in the mind of the gamblers. For them its really hard to explain but through their faith in such kind of superstitions resulted in a winnings. As I mentioned, that I don't really believed in it but a lot of my friends do. I don't demand from them to show me some actual facts so that I will also believed in it. But I don't do it out of respect for them. I just always told them that gambling is based on pure luck and superstitions will not influence the outcome.

I'm one of those who might say that believed in superstitions. I really don't know how I came up believing in it. Maybe my Father who is a avid gambling is a big influence to me. And when I go to a traditional casino, I would also wear my favorite shirt. There were cases I won, but I won't denied that fact that I only experience losses when I worn them. I guess its already in my mind and I can't just ignore them because its how I've been brought up.
